New Year's Twin Babies Born in Separate Years As people around the world partied their way into the new year, Yaleni Santos Tohalino in Washington, D.C., and Lindsay Salgueiro of Toronto were giving birth to two of the last babies of 2013 and two of the first babies of 2014. While born just minutes apart, their twin babies entered the world in two different years.

'Fresh Prince' Dad Dies James Avery, the actor who played Uncle Phil on "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," died on Tuesday, his publicist confirmed to ABC News. The actor, 68, died from complications of open heart surgery, publicist Cynthia Snyder said. He died in Glendale, Calif. Read more, here .

Chicago Snow Costs Jeweler $151k Chicago jeweler Rich Bennett tried to drum up business during the Christmas season by promising that the holiday bling would be free if it snowed more than 3 inches by noon on New Year's Day.

The flakes started falling this morning and the National Weather Service measured the accumulations at noon to be 3.7 inches at O'Hare Airport - a declaration that will cost Bennett $151,000. Bennett said he was delighted to lose the gamble.
