"I'm not a politician and I never want to be one," Aiken said. "But I do want to help bring back, at least to my corner of North Carolina, the idea that someone can go to Washington to represent all people." Aiken, 35, is running as a Democrat.

The car was worth $130,000. The owner's theory? He was trying to find a new home for the dog because she didn't get along with another pet in the home and the chewing was her revenge.
