Half of Americans to Be Obese by 2030: Can U.S. Win Battle of the Bulge?

If current trends hold, half of the U.S. population will be obese by 2030, according to a new report. Roughly one-third of the U.S. population is currently obese. The country could have 65 million more obese adults, raising the national total to 164 million, by 2030, according to a two-decade trend of steady weight gain.
