Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi is dead — apparently shot down as he was swarmed by opposition rebels in his hometown of Sirte, Libya.

According to people on the ground, this man, in a New York Yankees baseball cap, may have fired a bullet into the Libyan strongman, and he brandished the vanquished Gadhafi’s golden gun afterwards:

It’s not as if Gadhafi and his followers are donning caps of the rival Boston Red Sox, though.

It turns out, based upon news photographs, that pro-Gadhafi loyalists wear Yankees caps, too – including this man:
