ABC News Digital Celebrates Most Trafficked Month Ever
The strategic alliance between Yahoo! News and ABC News has proven its strength in the first month based on internal monthly reporting. Since October 3rd, ABC News Digital has attracted 98% more traffic than September. Video streams for ABC News content have increased 56% since last month. In total, ABC News stories on Yahoo! branded sites, traffic to goodmorningamerica.com and ABC News/Yahoo! News video series added over 120 million more page views to ABCNews.com‘s record monthly total. Starting this winter, comScore will combine, ABC News Digital with Yahoo! News – already the No. 1 news destination online – to create the Yahoo! News – ABC News Network category and together will dominate the category.
ABC News is now the premier news provider on Yahoo! News and during October, ABC News coverage of breaking news events and exclusive interviews reached a whole new audience. Exclusive ABC News interviews with President Obama with George Stephanopoulos and Jake Tapper, Bernie Madoff and Stephanie Madoff Mack with Barbara Walters and Chris Cuomo and Diane Sawyer’s special ”A Hidden America: Children of the Plains” were available to an online network of over 100 million. On demand and exclusive videos remained popular on ABCNews.com and were featured on Yahoo! branded sites.

This co-branded and highly interactive online destination lets the “Good Morning America” audience continue the conversation online before, during and after the broadcast and deepen viewers’ relationship with the program 24/7.
Several million people have also tuned in to Yahoo! and ABC News’ exclusive slate of original online video programming featuring ABC News anchors and correspondents. “Newsmakers” - a regular series of interviews with top newsmakers has featured George Stephanopoulos’ interview with President Obama, Chris Cuomo’s exclusive interview with Bernie Madoff’s daughter-in-law and a Yahoo! interview with Melinda Gates.
