Possibly unclear on the whole Santa Claus concept, a 16-year-old tried to rob a Georgia home via the chimney overnight and got stuck, police said. He was rescued and promptly arrested this afternoon.

According to Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB, Gwinnett County firefighters said the teen got stuck in the chimney of a Norcross, Ga., home at 3 a.m. The firefighters had responded to a call for help and heard “someone screaming” in the chimney, Fire Department Lt. Eric Eberly told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Early this afternoon, rescuers threw a rope down the chimney and pulled out the aspiring burglar, who was in his socks, WSB reported. Two Gwinnett County police officers handcuffed him, the report said. At least five police cars were at the scene, the report added.
