High School Basketball Player Makes Full Court Basket, Team Wins: VIDEO

A last minute basket attempt as the clock wound down in a conference title game ended in nothing but net, and glory, for one North Carolina high school basketball player.

When Kyle Ford, a senior at Lejeune High School at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, found himself with the basketball in hand and just 00.7 seconds left in the third quarter of his team's Jan. 10 game against fellow North Carolinians from Pamlico High School, he decided he had nothing to lose.

So Ford, wearing jersey number five, wound his left arm up and threw the ball down the length of the court.

The result?  Nothing but net, and a victory for his team.

Ford's Lejeune Devilpups went on to defeat the Pamlico Hurricanes, 59-48, and move on in the battle for the state's  Coastal Plains Conference title.
