Chicagoan Dwight Cleveland was inspired to start collecting movie posters when he saw a high school teacher’s collection. He now has more than 25,000 of these posters.
Cleveland is selling the entire collection, which covers movie posters from more than 55 countries and has spanned 35 years of his life. The collection (locked up in vaults) is valued at $3.5 million. The Swedish poster for King Kong (1933) is the most valuable at $50,000. Here are less expensive posters from the collection.
