"This Week" Finishes as the No. 2 Public Affairs Program on Sunday in the Key Adult News Demo

The Program Posts its Strongest Performance Among Adults 25-54 in More than a Year

"This Week" Substantially Improves on its Year-Ago Levels in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54, Growing its Overall Audience Year-to-Year for the 3rd Time in the Last 4 Weeks

On April 15, 2012, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" drew 2.620 million Total Viewers and 889,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research.  "This Week" surged week to week (2.108 million and 659,000, respectively, on 4/8/12) in both Total Viewers (+24%) and Adults 25-54 (+35%).  In fact, the ABC public affairs program scored its strongest Adults 25-54 performance in more than 1 year - since 3/20/11.

"This Week" substantially improved on its year-ago levels (2.215 million and 682,000, respectively on 4/17/11) in Total Viewers (+18%) and Adults 25-54 (+30%), growing its overall audience year-to-year for the 3rd time in the last 4 weeks.   

For the 2nd time in the last 3 weeks, "This Week" finished as the No. 2 public affairs program on Sunday in the key adult news demo.  "This Week" beat CBS' "Face the Nation" by 36,000 Adults 25-54 (889,000 vs. 853,000), topping the CBS program for the first time this season.
