Yahoo! - ABC News Network Streams Nearly a Half Billion Videos in March
Partnership Shows Continued Traffic and Editorial Success Including the Launch of Five Video Series
ABC News Digital Experiences 131% Growth in Unique Users
Since announcing their premiere news partnership in October, Yahoo! News and ABC News have launched five original video series and in March 2012 streamed more than 483 million videos (comScore March 2012).
"Power Players," Yahoo! News and ABC News' daily political series featuring a line-up of Yahoo! News and ABC News correspondents and anchors such as George Stephanopoulos, Jake Tapper, David Chalian, John Berman, Jonathan Karl and Amy Walter, launched in January and since then has had more than 16.4 million streams. The co-produced Yahoo! News and ABC News video series has grown 151% in video views since its launch in October; "Power Players" reached 4.3 million viewers, "Around the World with Christiane Amanpour" reached 1.1 million viewers and "This Could be Big with Bill Weir" reached .9 million viewers (Yahoo! internal data, March 2012). According to the March comScore, more than 54% of all news and information videos viewed online in North America belongs to the #1 Yahoo! News - ABC News network.
In total, Yahoo! News and ABC News' fleet of digital original series including "Around the World with Christiane Amanpour," "This Could be Big with Bill Weir," "Power Players," "Newsmakers," and "Katie's Take" have been viewed almost 60 million times. This one of a kind programming is at the heart of the partnership, bringing ABC News' unrivaled lineup of trusted anchors and correspondents to Yahoo!'s unmatched online audience. Since October the series have brought exclusive access to newsmakers such as Syria's President Assad, President Obama, Bill Gates, Mitt and Ann Romney, Ben Bernanke, all of the Republican presidential candidates in one day, and most recently, Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg. Together ABC News and Yahoo! News also hosted the most watched Republican primary debate and produced four hours of live online coverage of Super Tuesday.

Goodmorningamerica.com on Yahoo! News continues to reign as the number one morning news website as the "Good Morning America" broadcast celebrates its second ratings victory in three weeks over NBC's "Today" show. The March 2012 comScore report reveals that 25.8 million people visited the six month old news and entertainment site versus the 11 million unique users to Today.com. More than twice as many people made Goodmorningamerica.com their online destination for around-the-clock news and robust video beating out all of the competition. Goodmorningamerica.com users spent 140% more time on the site than Today.com.
