There are prison breaks, but prison break-ins?

A bobcat somehow slipped through the wire fencing at the Monroe Corrections Complex in Washington State where 2,400 inmates are housed.

The cat creeped through a small hole in a wire fence late Monday night and suffered a few cuts.

The cat was spotted on the roof of the special offender’s unit early Tuesday morning and was shot with a tranquilizer gun, ABC News’ Seattle affiliate KOMO-TV reported.

Chad Lewis, spokesman for the Washington State Department of Corrections, said although it was unusual to have an animal break in, officials aren’t worried about the breach.

“If we had an inmate the same size of a bobcat with the same level of dexterity, then we’re concerned,” Lewis said.
