ABC News Docu-series "NY Med" Delivers 4.74 Million Viewers and 1.94 Million Adults 25-54

The sophomore installment of ABC's "NY Med" delivered 4.74 million Total Viewers and 1.94 million Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. ABC's "NY Med" retained 100% of its week-ago series debut in Adults 18-49 and 94% among Adults 25-54.

"NY Med" built sharply on its lead-in among both Total Viewers (+2.1 million) and Adults 25-54 (+45%).

From 10:00-11:00 p.m., "NY Med" built by 11% in Total Viewers, by 9% in Adults 18-49 and by 13% in Adults 25-54 from its first half-hour to its second. In fact, as the new ABC series grew its overall audience by double-digit margins (+11%) from start to finish, both CBS (-2%) and NBC (-13%) lost audience across the 10:00 p.m. hour.

For a full year ABC News cameras had unprecedented access to document the mayhem and the miracles that occur daily inside the walls of Columbia and Weill Cornell Medical Centers, the crown jewels of the prestigious New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City for an eight-part series " NY Med". Lutheran Medical Center also participated, adding a Brooklyn dimension to the series. The eight-part series takes a candid look at how cutting edge medicine often makes the difference, although even the best surgeons can find themselves flirting with disaster.

Terence Wrong is executive producer of "NY Med." Erica Baumgart and Chris Perera are supervising producers. Monica DelaRosa is series producer and Andy Genovese is the broadcast producer.
