On July 15, 2012, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" drew 2.498 million Total Viewers and 835,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. For the 2nd time this season, "This Week" ranked as the No. 1 public affairs program in the key adults demo, beating both NBC's Meet the Press" (753,000) and CBS' "Face the Nation" (755,000).

"This Week" outdelivered NBC's "Meet the Press" in both overall viewers and in the key adult news demo, turning in its largest Total Viewers lead (+173,000 - regular telecast) in nearly 5 years and best Adults 25-54 advantage (+82,000) in over 1 year - since 9/16/07 and 3/13/11, respectively. In addition, Sunday marked the first time in nearly 5 years that "This Week" outperformed "Meet the Press" in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 - since 9/9/07 .

"This Week" was up week-to-week in both Total Viewers (+1%) and Adults 25-54 (+12%) - 2.476 million and 745,000, respectively on 7/8/12. In fact, "This Week" drew its strongest Adults 25-54 performance in 5 weeks - since 6/10/12.

"This Week" posted double-digit increases on the year-ago Sunday (2.091 million and 649,000, respectively, on 7/17/11) in both Total Viewers (+19%) and Adults 25-54 (+29%) , increasing year-to-year in both measures for the 4th week in a row. In fact, the ABC public affairs program has built on it year-ago Total Viewer count in the last 7 weeks.
