ABC News' "Good Morning America" won the week of September 3, 2012, standing as the No. 1 morning newscast in both Total Viewers (5.199 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.925 million) for the 2nd week in a row, according to Nielsen Media Research. In the process, "GMA" scored its first back-to-back news demo wins over NBC's "Today" in 17 years - since w/o 9/4/95 and w/o 9/11/95. In addition, "GMA" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers for the 4th consecutive week and in 9 of the last 11 weeks overall (behind "Today" only during the 2 weeks of the Olympics). Additionally, Goodmorningamerica.com on Yahoo! is the dominant morning news website leading NBC's Today.com by millions of pageviews and unique users. In July 2012, 24 million people visited Goodmorningamerica.com on Yahoo!.

"GMA" outperformed "Today" (4.404 million and 1.842 million, respectively) by +795,000 Total Viewers and +83,000 Adults 25-54. "GMA's" Total Viewer margin over "Today" was its 2nd largest, behind only the previous week's (+883,000 on w/o 8/27/12), since it first beat the NBC program in April to snap "Today's" 852-week streak. In fact, in the last 2 weeks, "GMA" has turned in its 2 largest Total Viewer margins over "Today" in more than 18 years - since w/o 5/16/94.

"GMA" swept "Today" during the week by topping the NBC program in all 4 head-to-head regular telecasts in Total Viewers (Tues: +844,000, Wed: +812,000, Thurs: +907,000 and Fri: +617,000,) airing the Top 4 most-watched telecast of the week. "GMA" has beaten "Today" for 18 straight days (8/14 - 9/7/12 - regular telecasts), posting "GMA's" longest stretch of consecutive single-day Total Viewer wins in more than 17 years - since a 19-day streak from 4/26 - 5/22/95.

In addition, GMA" beat "Today" in 3 of 4 regular telecasts of the week in Adults 25-54 (Tues: +115,000, Wed: +211,000 and Fri: +46,000). Further, for the 3rd week in a row, "GMA" aired the week's No. 1 morning telecast (Tuesday - 9/4/12) in both Total Viewers (5.291 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.001 million).

"GMA" built on its year-ago marks (4.715 million and 1.789 million, respectively, on w/o 9/5/11) for the 2nd week running in Total Viewers (+10%) and Adults 25-54 (+8%). In contrast, NBC's "Today" (-19%/-24%) and "CBS This Morning" (-12%/-18%) each dropped by double-digits year to year.

Season to date, "GMA" has cut its gaps with "Today" by more than half in both Total Viewers (-62%) and Adults 25-54 (-52%) versus its year-ago season gaps. "GMA" is posting its smallest margins with "Today" in 17 years in Total Viewers (283,000) and Adult 25-54 (336,000) - since the 1994-95 Season.

Season to date "GMA" is the only morning program to grow in Total Viewers (+4%) and Adults 25-54 (+6%) versus its year-ago averages (NBC's "Today:" -5%/-10%, respectively; CBS' "This Morning:" -6%/-8%, respectively). "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in 6 years, since 2005-06.

"GMA" towered over "CBS This Morning" by triple-digits in both Total Viewers (+137%) and Adults 25-54 (+138%).
