On October 7, 2012, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" drew 3.024 million Total Viewers and 1.033 million Adults 25-54, ranking as the No. 1 public affairs program in the key adult news demo, according to Nielsen Media Research. For the 2nd week in a row, "This Week" saw gains week to week (2.590 million and 748,000, respectively, on 9/30/12) in both Total Viewers (+17%) and Adults 25-54 (+38%) to deliver its strongest performance in 1 1/2 years - since 3/13/11 .

"This Week" surged from the year-ago Sunday by 30% in Total Viewers and by 45% Adults 25-54 - 2.335 million and 710,000, respectively, on 10/09/11 . In fact, the ABC public affairs program grew the most year to year compared to CBS' "Face the Nation" (+1%/-23%) and NBC's "Meet the Press" (+12%/+15%).

"This Week" outperformed CBS' "Face the Nation" in both Total Viewers (+173,000) and Adults 25-54 (+249,000) , turning in its largest news demo lead over the CBS program in more than 2 years - since 6/27/10.

"This Week" beat NBC's "Meet the Press" by its largest Adults 25-54 advantage (+100,000) in 1 1/2 years - since 3/13/11 .

Two weeks into the 2012-13 season, "This Week" stands as the No. 1 Sunday morning public affairs program in Adults 25-54, leading CBS' "Face the Nation" by +19,000 demo viewers and NBC's "Meet the Press" by +30,000 demo viewers.

Season to date," This Week" is up sharply in Total Viewers (+33%) and Adults 25-54 (+55%) versus its year-ago season averages, delivering its strongest numbers in 5 years - since the 2008-09 season.
