For Second Straight Week, "Nightline" Beats CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

Thursday's Broadcast Ranked #1 in Both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54

On Average in New Time Period, "Nightline" Continues to Improve ABC's Year-to-Year Performance in Total Viewers (+7%)

For the week of April 29, 2013, ABC News' "Nightline" drew 1.558 million Total Viewers, 690,000 Adults 25-54 and 512,000 Adults 18-49, according to Nielsen Media Research . For the 2nd straight week, "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" across all key target demos - Total Viewers (+193,000), Adults 25-54 (+37,000) and Adults 18-49 (+51,000).

"Nightline" saw week-to-week increases in Total Viewers (+4%), Adults 25-54 (+11%) and Adults 18-49 (+8%) - 1.500 million, 622,000 and 472,000 respectively, on w/o 4/22/13. In fact, "Nightline" drew its 2nd-most-watched week in more than 3 months - since w/o 1/21/13, behind only the week of its coverage of the events in Boston (w/o 4/15/13).

On Thursday (5/2/13) , "Nightline" (1.560 million and 730,000) ranked No. 1 in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 versus CBS' "The Late Late Show" (1.539 million and 675,000) and NBC's "Late Night" (1.519 million and 676,000).

On average in its new time period, "Nightline" has improved ABC's performance compared to the same weeks last year in Total Viewers (+7%). In addition, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" by +113,000 Total Viewers and by +26,000 Adults 25-54.

The program airs weeknights from 12:35 a.m., ET to 1:00 a.m. on the ABC Television Network.
