ABC News is providing comprehensive coverage of the Supreme Court’s rulings on same-sex marriage across all broadcasts and platforms, giving viewers the whole picture on how the decision will impact the modern American family. The Supreme Court handed down two rulings today bolstering same-sex marriage by ruling part of the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional and allowing a lower court ruling to stand that struck down California’s Proposition 8 ballot initiative, which defines marriage as between one man and one woman.

Moran, who covers the Supreme Court for ABC News, was recently recognized by the White House Correspondents’ Association with the Merriman Smith Award for excellence in presidential coverage under deadline pressure for his reporting on the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Affordable Care Act last year.
