"GMA" is #1 for Week of June 3rd

"GMA" Tops NBC's "Today" by 835,000 Total Viewers and 114,000 Adults 25-54

"GMA" Grows Significantly Year-to-Year: +20% in Total Viewers, +14% Among Adults 25-54 and +13% Among Adults 18-49 While "Today" Declines

ABC News' "Good Morning America" was the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (5.386 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.961 million) for the week of June 3, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" outperformed the No. 2 ranked NBC's "Today" (4.551 million and 1.847 million, respectively) by +835,000 Total Viewers and by +114,000 Adults 25-54. Additionally, GMA.com on Yahoo! reached 24.4 million users in May 2013. It is the No. 1 morning news website and beats Today.com by millions of users each month.

"GMA" has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in all 36 weeks of the season. In fact, the ABC morning newscast has ranked No. 1 every week in Total Viewers for nearly 10 months (the last 42 weeks - since w/o 8/13/12). Further, "GMA's" 42 consecutive weeks at the top stand as its longest stretch at No. 1 in more than 21 years - since before the 1991-92 season; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

In Adults 25-54, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 30 of 36 weeks, representing the program's highest number of No. 1 finishes in a season in the key adult news demo in 20 years - since 1992-93.

Building on its success, "GMA" posted double-digit increases on the year-ago week (4.474 million, 1.717 million and 1.244 million, respectively, on w/o 6/4/12) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+20%), Adults 25-54 (+14%) and Adults 18-49 (+13%), improving year to year in overall viewers in all 36 weeks this season. In contrast, "Today" (-5%/-8%/-4%) has not only seen losses year to year in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 in all 36 weeks of the season, it has turned in losses for the last 42 weeks, starting with the week following the 2012 Summer Olympics (since w/o 8/13/12).

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. It is leading "Today" by its largest season margin in overall viewers (+657,000) in more than 21 years and in the adult news demo (+79,000) in 20 years - since before the 1991-92 season and the 1992-93 season, respectively; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

Season to date, "GMA" is up in both Total Viewers (+8%) and Adults 25-54 (+2%) versus its year-ago averages (NBC's "Today" is down -12%/-18%, respectively; CBS' "This Morning" is up +11%/+2%, respectively). "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in 8 years and best Adult 25-54 performance in 5 years - since the 2004-05 and 2007-08 seasons, respectively.

For the week, "GMA" beat "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+86%), Adults 25-54 (+95%), and Adults 18-49 (+100%) .
