"GMA" is #1 in Total Viewers and Both Key Demos for the Week

"GMA" Ranks First in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

"GMA" Tops NBC's "Today" by 824,000 Total Viewers and 196,000 Adults 25-54

"GMA" Continues to Grow Season-to-Date and Year-to-Year in Demo and Total Viewers While "Today" Declines

ABC News' "Good Morning America" stood as the morning's No. 1 newscast in Total Viewers (5.330 million), Adults 25-54 (2.014 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.435 million), according to Nielsen Media Research for the week of May 27, 2013. "GMA" outdrew NBC's "Today" (4.506 million, 1.818 million and 1.370 million, respectively) by +824,000 Total Viewers, by +196,000 Adults 25-54 and by +65,000 Adults 18-49. The ABC morning newscast led the No. 2 ranked "Today Show" by its largest margins in both key adult demos in 12 weeks - since w/o 3/4/13.

"GMA" has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in all 35 weeks of the season. In fact, the ABC morning newscast has ranked No. 1 every week in Total Viewers for more than 9 months (the last 41 weeks - since w/o 8/13/12). Further, "GMA's" 41 consecutive weeks at the top stand as its longest stretch at No. 1 in more than 21 years - since before the 1991-92 season; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

In Adults 25-54, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 29 of 35 weeks, representing the program's highest number of No. 1 finishes in a season in the key adult news demo in 20 years - since 1992-93. In Adults 18-49, "GMA" claimed its 16th week at No. 1 this season, matching its most No. 1 finishes in 19 years - since 1993-94.

Building on its success, "GMA" saw across the board gains year-to-year (4.671 million, 1.801 million and 1.357 million, respectively, on w/o 5/28/12) in Total Viewers (+14%), Adults 25-54 (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%) , improving year to year in overall viewers in all 35 weeks this season. In contrast, "Today" (-7%/-14%/-14%) has not only seen losses year to year in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 in all 35 weeks of the season, it has turned in losses for the last 41 weeks, starting with the week following the 2012 Summer Olympics (since w/o 8/13/12). Additionally, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo! reached 26 million users in April 2013. It is the No. 1 morning news website and beats Today.com by millions of users each month.

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. It is leading "Today" by its largest season margin in overall viewers (+652,000) in more than 21 years and in the adult news demo (+78,000) in 20 years - since before the 1991-92 season and the 1992-93 season, respectively; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

Season to date, "GMA" is up in both Total Viewers (+8%) and Adults 25-54 (+2%) versus its year-ago averages (NBC's "Today" is down -12%/-18%, respectively; CBS' "This Morning" is up +11%/+2%, respectively). "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in 8 years and best Adult 25-54 performance in 5 years - since the 2004-05 and 2007-08 seasons, respectively.

For the week, "GMA" nearly doubled the performance of "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+91%) and Adults 18-49 (+99%), while more than doubling in Adults 25-54 (+101%).
