'Kraken' Burger Hits New Caloric Heights
A man in Washington has created what he dubbed as "The Kraken" burger at his local Jack in the Box with a whopping 20 patties and 36 toppings. Even more ridiculous, he ordered his meat monster at the drive-through window.
Beau Chevassus, 27, of Enumclaw, claims his $38 masterpiece is the most expensive burger ever ordered at a fast food chain.
"It's good fun and I wanted to see if it could be done," Chevassus, a self proclaimed burger connoisseur, told ABC News. "I thought my heart was going a little too fast and I needed to slow it down with something like this."
He estimates the burger, which he dubbed the Kraken, is nearly 9,000 calories. Besides the 20 patties, he ordered up toppings of chicken, spicy chicken, two fried eggs, ham, sausage, onions, grilled onions, onion rings, and the list goes on.
Chevassus had previously created a $47 Starbucks drink earlier this year called the "Quadriginoctuple Frap" created in a 52 ounce coffee mug. No spoilers as to what's coming next, though hints were given that he is leaning towards a dessert.
He complimented the Jack in the Box crew.
"They were in very good spirits because it really does portray some of their strengths," Chevassus said. "It really was good customer service."
Jack In the Box has only one correction. They think they'd have named the creation "The Leaning Tower of Meatsa" or "Jack and the Burgerstalk," according to a post on their Facebook page.
But what everyone wants to know is whether Chevassus finished the burger.
"I'm still in the process of polishing it off," Chevassus said. "It's been several days, but I'm almost done. It really did taste very good."
