14-Pound Baby A Giant Gift for Florida Mom
The holiday season is a time for family and gratitude and one Florida family received a very big blessing - a 14 pound baby.
When Nicia McNelley went in for a scheduled c-section on Friday, she was not expecting to give birth to the second-biggest baby in Florida this year. She welcomed Isaiah Lawrence Johnson at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla., on Dec. 20.
Baby Isaiah tipped the scales at 14 lb., 7.6 oz. and 22.5 inches long.
"I was surprised. I was shocked," McNelley told ABC's Gainesville affiliate WCJB-TV. "I couldn't believe it. I have two other kids, but not as big as this guy."
Mother and son are healthy and expected to go home for the holidays today.
