Police in Tampa, Fla., have released dramatic infrared video of their officers in a police helicopter rescuing a pilot from a crashed and burning plane.

The video shows the helicopter flying above the crash site, before the helicopter pilot set down. An officer ran to the burning plane and dragged the pilot into a nearby field.

Tampa ABC affiliate WFTS reported the pilot of the Cessna 210N has been hospitalized and is in stable condition.
