Yahoo-ABC News Network: #1 Destination for News and Information Online for 22 Consecutive Months

For 22 consecutive months the Yahoo-ABC News Network has remained the #1 destination for news and information online. For the month of November the Yahoo-ABC News Network has maintained a steady lead over the competition, delivering more page views to more unique visitors than any other online news source, according to data provided by comScore. Additionally, unique video viewers were up 8% from October to November.

Page Views:

From breaking news updates to live blogs and in-depth features, the Yahoo-ABC News Network delivered more total page views than any other news competitor in the month of November. Last month ABC News Digital also launched  a new sports index on ABCNews.com, providing digital users with a new opportunity to access SportsCenter’s top headlines and video replays 24/7. As the premier leader of news and information online, the Yahoo-ABC News Network continued to lead the way in November with a combined total of 2.5 billion page views, surpassing:

•             Yahoo-ABC News Network (2.5 billion)

•             CNN Network by 56% (1.6 billion)

•             HMPG News by 115% (1.2 billion)

•             CBS News by 197% (856 million)

•             Fox News Digital by 201% (845 million)

•             NBC News Digital by 222% (792 million)

•             New York Times Digital by 367% (545 million)

Unique Visitors:

For the month of November more unique visitors turned to the Yahoo-ABC News Network for in-depth features, live blogs, exclusive interviews and breaking news coverage than any other online news source. In November 77 million unique visitors turned to the Yahoo-ABC News Network, outperforming:

•             Yahoo-ABC News Network (77 million)

•             CNN Network by 17% (66 million)

•             HPMG News by 24% (62 million)

•             NBC News Digital by 47% (52 million)

•             CBS News by 102% (38 million)

•             New York Times Digital by 136% (33 million)

•             Fox News Digital Network by 168% (29 million)

Mobile:

In October ABC News Digital launched the completely new ABC News Phone app for iPhone and Android devices. Since the October launch, ABC News app installations have increased 42% with both Android app and iPad app unique users up month over month. The re-launch of ABC News apps, tablet web and the refresh of phone web also impacted video traffic, with mobile video views up 34% from October to November.

Throughout the month of November, more users turned to ABC News’ mobile web and apps to stay on top of the biggest news and videos of the day. From the ABC News exclusive surveillance video footage of the terrorists in Kentucky to live stream coverage of Batkid taking over San Francisco, video views across mobile web were up 30% from October to November and up 75% from the same time last year. GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo continues to be the leading morning news show website. In November, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo held its audience lead over Today.com for the 16th consecutive month with 21 million unique users versus Today.com‘s 20 million users.
