911 Tape Details Harrowing Moment Before Fatal Crash

Newly released 911 tapes document the final harrowing moments before an out-of-control minivan careered off a California highway and burst into flames, injuring six people and killing a 90-year-old woman.

"We need help! We're coming off of … We're coming off of 80. We're on a side road, we've lost our brakes, there's eight of us," a frantic woman is heard on the call.

Frances Sevilla, 90, was killed in the crash when the Chevy Astro in which she and her family were riding lost control, struck another car and tumbled down an embankment before catching fire off Interstate 80 near Gold Run, Calif.

The dispatcher twice asked the caller for the car's location and the direction it was traveling.

"I have no idea where we're at. We're off of Gold Run," the frantic caller shrieked.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, according to the California Highway Patrol.
