"GMA" Bests NBC's "Today" by Nearly a Million Total Viewers and 243,000 Adults 25-54

"GMA" Grows Week-to-Week, Year-to-Year and Season-to-Date: Increases by Double-Digits Year-to-Year in Total Viewers (+21%), Adults 25-54 (+23%) and Adults 18-49 (+15%)

"GMA" Delivers Strongest Demo Performance in 7 Years

"GMA" Scores Most-Watched Telecasts of the Season on Monday and Tuesday

ABC News' "Good Morning America" ranked as the No. 1 morning program in Total Viewers (6.070 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.381 million) for the week of January 6, 2014, according to Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" beat NBC's "Today" (5.107 million and 2.138, respectively) during the week by 963,000 million Total Viewers and by 243,000 Adults 25-54. "GMA" more than doubled its Total Viewer lead (+110%) over NBC's "Today" compared to its year-ago lead (459,000 on w/o 1/7/13). Additionally, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo! reached almost 20 million users last month.

"GMA" has ranked No. 1 every week in Total Viewers for more than 17 months (the last 73 weeks - since w/o 8/13/12). "GMA's" 73-consecutive weeks at the top represent its longest stretch at No. 1 in more than 22 years - since before the 1991-92 season; Nielsen's electronic database started in September 1991.

In addition, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54 in 15 of the 16 weeks of the season.

"GMA" aired the Top 2 most-watched morning telecasts of the season on Monday (6.481 million on 1/6/14) and Tuesday (6.460 million on 1/7/14) . In fact, the Monday airing was the most-watched morning telecast in nearly 1 year - since a "GMA" telecast on 2/20/13. In addition, "GMA" turned in its best single-day Adults 25-54 telecast on Monday (2.507 million) in nearly 4 years (since 4/29/11 - the royal wedding) and 2nd-best in nearly 6 years (since 2/23/09) .

For the 2nd week in a row, "GMA" grew from the previous week (5.579 million, 2.116 million and 1.400 million, respectively, on w/o 12/30/13) in Total Viewers (+9%) , Adults 25-54 (+13%) and Adults 18-49 (+16%). In fact, "GMA" delivered its strongest Adults 25-54 performance in nearly 7 years - since w/o 2/12/07.

"GMA" posted double-digit year-to-year increases for the 2nd straight week (5.010 million, 1.936 million and 1.418 million, respectively, on w/o 1/7/13) in Total Viewers (+21%) , Adults 25-54 (+23%) and Adults 18-49 (+15%).

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program for the 2nd-straight year in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. "GMA" is leading NBC's "Today" by 750,000 Total Viewers and 96,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" has widened its season margins over "Today" versus the same point last season in Total Viewers by 49% (750,000 vs. 505,000) and in Adults 25-54 by 5% (96,000 vs. 82,000). Further, "GMA" is posting its largest Total Viewer season margin in more than 22 years and biggest in Adults 25-54 in 22 years- since at least the 1991-92 season (Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991) and the 1991-92 season, respectively.

Growing for the 3rd year in a row, "GMA" is up by double-digits over the same point last season in both Total Viewers (+13%) and Adults 25-54 (+12%). In fact, "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in more than 22 years and best Adults 25-54 performance in 8 years - since before the 1991-92 season and the 2005-06 seasons, respectively.

During the week, "GMA" nearly doubled the performance of "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+88%), while more than doubling in Adults 25-54 (+116%) and Adults 18-49 (+101%).
