The mysterious crop circle that captured national attention and speculation about aliens is gone after it attracted unwanted attention from curious onlookers.

The patterns were mowed down, according to a representative of Echelon Security Company, who was hired to protect the property.

A representative from Echelon told ABC News the patterns had been destroyed, but declined to provide further comment.

The patterns were noticed by aerial photographer Julie Belanger, who told ABC News she was shocked to discover them during a flyover on Monday.
