Boy, 8, Gets Surprise Valentine From Afghanistan

Valentine's Day was one of the most magical days of this 8-year-old's short life.

For little Sean Greene, getting a tour of TV station, ABC News10 in San Diego, was already a big deal. Walking through the newsroom and sitting on the set would have been plenty to make the pint-sized boy smile, but little did he know there was actually a much bigger, more special surprise in store.

"Turn to your left, and see who's over there," the anchorman told Sean.

"Mom?," the little boy questioned, unsure of what he was seeing on the large monitor was real.

"Hi! Happy Valentine's Day, sweetheart," his mom, Shannon Greene, a U.S. Marine who is serving in Afghanistan, replied to her beaming son via satellite.

Sean was so emotional he couldn't even lift up his head during the interview.

"Happy Valentine's, mom," her sweet son replied while burying his face in his hands.

As the little boy cried tears of joy, others in the studio began crying as well.

"Lots of tears from all of us watching this at the station right now," the affiliate tweeted along with a Vine video of the special moment.
