For week two of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, ABC News' "Good Morning America" averaged 5.590 million Total Viewers and a 1.8 rating/13 share/2.174 million Adults 25-54 for the week of February 17, 2014, according to Nielsen Media Research . Additionally, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo! reached almost 21 million users last month

Compared to week two of the 2010 Winter Olympics "GMA" delivered double-digit increases in Total Viewers (+24%) and Adults 25-54 (+10%) - 4.613 million and 1.973 million, respectively, on w/o 2/22/10. In contrast, NBC's "Today" turned in losses from its performance four years ago (-7%/-21% - 6.276 million 2.925 million, respectively) .

"GMA" slashed nearly all of its margins with "Today" in week two of the Sochi Olympics versus its margins in week two of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics in both Total Viewers (-85% - 254,000 vs. 1.663 million) and Adults 25-54 (-86% - 136,000 vs. 952,000).

In addition, " GMA" narrowed its Adults 25-54 margin with "Today" in week two of the Olympics from week one (-16% - 136,000 vs. 162,000). "GMA's" news demo margin with "Today" during week two of the Olympics stands as the closest performance with the NBC program during an Olympics week when the NBC aired the games - since at least 1991, the start of the Nielsen database.*

During the two full weeks of the Olympics, "GMA" trailed "Today" by 190,000 Total Viewers (5.801 million vs. 5.991 million) and by 140,000 Adults 25-54 (2.269 million vs. 2.409 million), marking the smallest gaps between "GMA" and "Today" during the two full weeks of an Olympics - since at least 1991, the start of the Nielsen database.* Further, for the full two weeks of the Sochi Olympics, " GMA" delivered its best Total Viewers number for an Olympics period since at least 1991 and the strongest Adults 25-54 performance since the Torino Winter Olympics in 2006 (2/13-2/26/06).

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program for the 2nd straight year in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. "GMA" is leading NBC's "Today" by 614,000 Total Viewers and 77,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" has widened its season margins over "Today" versus the same point last season in Total Viewers by 10% (614,000 vs. 560,000) and in Adults 25-54 by 17% (77,000 vs. 66,000). Further, "GMA" is posting its largest Total Viewer season margin in more than 22 years and biggest in Adults 25-54 in 22 years - since at least the 1991-92 season (Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991) and the 1991-92 season, respectively.

Growing for the 3rd year in a row, "GMA" is up by double-digits over the same point last season in both Total Viewers (+11%) and Adults 25-54 (+12%). In fact, "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in more than 22 years and best Adults 25-54 performance in 8 years - since before the 1991-92 season and the 2005-06 seasons, respectively.

During the week, "GMA" outdrew "CBS This Morning" by 81% in Total Viewers and by 96% in Adults 18-49 (+96%), while more than doubling in Adults 25-54 (+108%) .
