A massive mudslide pancaked at least one home and killed two people in Oso, Wash., on Saturday morning, prompting a multi-agency response, according to the Washington State Patrol and Snohomish County Sheriff's Department.

The mudslide also severely damaged two or three others homes. Troopers reported hearing a voice calling for help within the wreckage.

The mudslide occurred just south of Mount Vernon on S.R. 530. The road was completely blocked off by the flattened remains of the roadside house.

Officials are still in search-and-rescue mode for anyone caught in the mud, which dammed up the north fork of the Stillaguamish River.
