Ohio Woman Finds 8 Pounds of Marijuana in Her Car Tire

A Ohio woman got the surprise of her life when she took her car to fix a flat tire.

After the mechanic fixed the tire and test drove the car, he noticed it made a noise as if something was inside the wheel.

When he took the tire apart, he uncovered eight pounds of marijuana inside, authorities said.

The marijuana is worth about $12,000, according to Chief Deputy Cavanaugh of the Lorain County Sheriff's Office.

Chief Deputy Cavanaugh told ABC News: "It is going to take some time to determine the origin of the marijuana along with the vehicle used to transport it into the country."

The woman purchased the car in 2013. She is not a suspect in the case, police said.
