This April Fools' Day, prepare to spend a lot of time scrolling over the Pacific Ocean on your Google Maps smartphone app.

It's one of the many worldwide hiding places for Pokemon, according to Google, which released an addition to their Google Maps app that lets users search for those popular Nintendo monsters in cities, fields, deserts, forests, mountains and oceans around the globe.

Google is known for their massive April Fools' Day jokes, including turning Google Maps into a treasure map and telling users they could now search by smell.

To play the new mini game, simply use the Google Maps app on either iPhone or Android, press on the search bar, and then click on the Pokeball next to the "Press Start" text.
