Donetsk is one of the flashpoints in the conflict in Ukraine, a city controlled by pro-Russian militias that the Kiev government has vowed to drive out. It is also a city of stark contrasts: The park in the center of the city is full of spring blossoms and people strolling peacefully, enjoying the warm weather, while just steps away are barricaded buildings, guarded by armed, masked man.
