"This Week" Delivers Strongest Numbers in 6 Weeks

"This Week" Increases Significantly Year-to-Year: +41% in Adults 25-54 and +28% in Total Viewers

The headline should be that This Week ranked #1 for 7 of the last 8 weeks

On July 20, 2014, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" ranked No. 1 in both Total Viewers (2.853 million) and Adults 25-54 (896,000), according to Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" has ranked No. 1 in the key adult news demo in 7 of the last 8 weeks .

Growing over the previous week (2.761 million and 842,000, respectively, on 7/13/14) for the 2nd week in a row in Total Viewers (+3%) and Adults 25-54 (+6) , "This Week" delivered its strongest numbers in 6 weeks - since 6/8/14.

For 4th consecutive week, "This Week" built on the year-ago Sunday in both Total Viewers (+28%) and Adults 25-54 (+41%) - 2.230 million and 636,000, respectively on 7/21/13. "This Week" has turned in year-to-year increases in 12 of the last 13 weeks. In addition, "This Week" grew the most in both measures compared to CBS' "Face the Nation" (+12%/+28%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (-1%/+6%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (-5%/-29%).

Season to date, " This Week" is up by double-digits in Total Viewers (+15%) and Adults 25-54 (+15%) versus its year-ago season averages. Growing in both measures for the 2nd year in a row, "This Week" is delivering its strongest performance in 5 years - since the 2008-09 season. In addition, "This Week" is up the most from the same point last season in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 versus CBS' "Face the Nation" (+1%/up less than +1%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (-6%/-7%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+2%/-10%).

In addition, "This Week" leads NBC's "Meet the Press" this season in both Total Viewers (+191,000) and Adults 25-54 (+62,000), leading the NBC program by its largest Total Viewer advantage in 18 years, while beating "Meet the Press in during a season for the first time 20 years in the key adult news demo - since the 1995-96 and the 1993-94 seasons, respectively.
