Today Anne Sweeney, Co-Chairman, Disney Media Networks and President, Disney-ABC Television Group, and Ben Sherwood, Co-President, Disney-ABC Television Group, announced Eric Avram has been promoted.

We'd like to share some great news about our colleague Eric Avram.

Eric has been promoted to Vice President, Disney/ABC Television Group for Talent, Booking and ABC News Specialized Units, reporting to James Goldston and Paul Lee.

He is a dynamic leader, consummate teammate and proven force in the highly competitive booking arena. Over the years he and the relentless bookers of ABC News have chased and locked up some of the most memorable interviews and moments on our programs and platforms. His efforts have earned ABC News recognition from the most prestigious awards in television, including Peabodys, Emmys and duPonts.

In this newly created role he'll oversee and coordinate major bookings and special projects for DATG's global television properties, owned TV stations and radio. He will continue to oversee the Specialized Units, including the Medical, Business, Law & Justice, Bob Woodruff and Investigative teams, and centralized booking for ABC News.

By uniting and helping steer our booking efforts across all divisions and programs, Eric will amplify and accelerate our ability to imagine, pursue and create the highest quality content, online and on air.

Most recently he worked with many of you on an exciting project with Taylor Swift, a coordinated rollout that shows the extraordinary booking power of our company.

Our teams worked together to make the launch of her new album an unprecedented global event, starting with the first-ever worldwide ABC-Yahoo! livestream, kicking off on GoodMorningAmerica.com and carried on Yahoo! in over two dozen countries. Good Morning America, Nightline and Fusion followed up with the first interviews with Taylor, and next up - exclusive concerts on GMA and Jimmy Kimmel Live! and other exciting events to be announced this fall.

We're delighted for Eric, for Disney/ABC TV and especially for our audiences - and we can't wait to see where he and the amazing editorial producers of our organization take us next.
