ABC NEWS ANNOUNCES COVERAGE OF THE 2015 STATE OF THE UNION LED BY CHIEF ANCHOR GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS

David Muir to Anchor World News Tonight from Washington, DC and Report from Capitol Hill Throughout the Night

ABC News Will Broadcast President Barack Obama's Address Along with the Republican Response on January 20 at 9:00 P.M., ET on the ABC Television Network

ABC News Digital Will LiveStream the State of the Union and GOP Response and Provide Special Coverage Starting at 8:45 P.M., ET Anchored by Nightline's Byron Pitts

ABC News will broadcast President Barack Obama's State of the Union address with coverage led by ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos live from Washington, D.C. Following the address, ABC will carry the Republican response. Network coverage begins on Tuesday, January 20 at 9:00 p.m., ET on ABC.

World News Tonight Anchor David Muir will broadcast the evening news program from Capitol Hill and report throughout the night on major topics before and after the State of the Union address and Republican response.

The ABC News political team including Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl and Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz with report on the latest news and developments with analysis by ABC News Political Analyst Cokie Roberts and Contributors Matthew Dowd, Nicolle Wallace and Donna Brazile.

At 12:35 P.M. ET Nightline will feature the highlights from the address. The next morning Stephanopoulos will anchor Good Morning America from D.C., covering the main points from the address and GOP response.

ABC News Digital will livestream the President's State of the Union address, the Republican response and ABC News' coverage on ABCNews.com, Yahoo! News, GoodMorningAmerica.com, ABC News' iPad, iPhone and Windows 8 apps, Apple TV and ABC affiliate websites. ABC's correspondents will provide in-depth reporting, analysis and video updates all evening at ABCNews.com.

An ABCNews.com pre-show will begin at 8:45 p.m., ET, anchored by Nightline's Byron Pitts. Following ABC News television coverage, a fifteen-minute post-show roundtable hosted by Raddatz and Karl will stream online.

Additionally, ABC News has partnered with Facebook to display on screen exclusive, real-time information about what's trending on the platform during the president's speech across various demographics.

ABC News Radio will provide coverage of the State of the Union address and the Republican response from 9:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., ET, anchored by ABC News correspondent Aaron Katersky. ABC News correspondent Steven Portnoy will report from the Capitol with ABC News Contributor Ann Compton and ABC News Analysts Steve Roberts and Trey Hardin from D.C. Before the address, ABC News Radio will present a one-hour preview at 8:00 p.m., ET that discusses expected topics of President Obama's speech.
