ABC News' "World News Tonight with David Muir" averaged 9.485 million Total Viewers, 2.320 million Adults 25-54 and 1.532 million Adults 18-49 during the week of January 26, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

On Monday (1/26/15), "World News Tonight" turned in its top telecast of the season in both Total Viewers (11.147 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.988 million). In fact, the Monday airing was "World News Tonight's" most-watched telecast in nearly 9 years - since 2/20/06, based on regular telecasts.

"World News Tonight" posted across-the-board increases week to week (9.125 million, 2.191 million and 1.484 million, respectively, for w/o 1/19/15): Total Viewers (+4%), Adults 25-54 (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+3%) .

"World News Tonight" improved on the year-ago week in Total Viewers (+1% - 9.485 million vs. 9.400 million on w/o 1/20/14). In fact, "World News Tonight" stood as the only evening newscast to grow year to year compared to "CBS Evening News" (-4%) and "NBC Nightly News" (-6%).
