"This Week" Grows Most Year-to-Year in Both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 Versus CBS's "Face the Nation" and NBC's "Meet the Press"
"This Week" is Outdelivering NBC's "Meet the Press" by Largest Total Viewer Margin During a Season in 18 Years and Largest Demo Margin in 22 Years
ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 3.295 Total Viewers and 946,000 Adults 25-54 on February 15, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" outdelivered NBC's "Meet the Press" (3.001 million and 859,000, respectively) by its largest Total Viewer advantage in 7 weeks (+294,000 - since 12/28/14), while leading the NBC program in Adults 25-54 (+87,000) for the 4th consecutive Sunday.
"This Week" turned in week-to-week increases (2.802 million and 904,000 on 2/8/15) in both Total Viewers (+18%) and Adults 25-54 (+5%) . "This Week" grew the most from the prior week's performance in Total Viewers compared to CBS' "Face the Nation" (-8%) and NBC's "Meet the Press" (+3%).
"This Week" scored double-digit increases on the same Sunday last year (2.738 million and 759,000, respectively, on 2/16/14) in both Total Viewers (+20%) and Adults 25-54 (+25%) . "This Week" was up the most year to year in both measures versus CBS' "Face the Nation" (+12%/+1%) and NBC's "Meet the Press" (-16%/-25%).
Growing for the 3rd season in a row, " This Week" is up in Adults 25-54 (+6% - 882,000 vs. 829,000) season to date versus the same point last season to its strongest news demo performance in 6 years - since the 2008-09 season. Competitively, "This Week" is outdelivering NBC's "Meet the Press" for the first time during a season in 18 years in Total Viewers (+76,000) and by its largest Adults 25-54 margin (+82,000) in 22 years - since the 1996-97 and the 1992-93 seasons, respectively.
