'Modern Family' Star Sofia Vergara's Message to Aimee Copeland

Aimee Copeland, the Georgia student recovering from a flesh-eating infection she developed after a fall from a zip line, received some very special words of support from "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara.

According to Celebuzz, the actress recorded a video message for Copeland in New York City. In the message, Vergara praises Copeland for her strength and tells her she is in the actress' thoughts.

"We always have you in our minds," Vergara said. "We are all so relieved that you're such a strong person and so proud of what you've been doing and going through."

Vergara recorded the message as part of a lollipop company's campaign to raise funds for the 24-year-old student. The company, Sukitz, makes a diet lollipop and is donating all gross proceeds during the month of June to Copeland. Sukitz told ABC News it also plans to donate a portion of the sales of the grape lollipop - Copeland's favorite flavor - to her.

Vergara isn't the only star to send her support and encouragement. A number of other celebrities, including Kirstie Alley and members of the band Hoobastank also recorded messages.

Copeland's father said in a blog that his daughter is taking pain medication after having surgery to replace skin and muscle destroyed by the bacteria.

Copeland also lost her hands, a leg and a foot as a result of the aggressive infection, and has undergone more than one round of reconstructive surgery.

In his most recent blog post, Andy Copeland said his daughter is in tremendous pain, but was able to crack a smile as she wished him a happy Father's Day.
