Ice cream maker Turkey Hill has recalled three of its flavors over a risk that they might contain metal shavings.

The recall, announced Friday, covers 1.5-quart tubs of Fudge Ripple Premium Ice Cream as well as 1-pint packages of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Premium Ice Cream and Moose Tracks Stuff'd Frozen Dairy Dessert sold in select stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, according to the company's website.

"There have been no reports of any foreign objects being found or any injury/illness occurring," the company said in a statement. "All affected stores are directly delivered to and serviced by Turkey Hill Dairy and have been instructed to remove the product from their shelves."

The affected packages were sold to consumers after Oct. 1, even though the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Moose Tracks products had sell-by dates in September, according to the recall notice.

Turkey Hill did not immediately respond to ABC News' requests for a comment.

Although the Pennsylvania-based ice creamery announced the voluntary recall on its website Friday, the information has yet to be posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration - the federal agency charged with overseeing the recall.

With roughly 45 percent of its staff furloughed due to the government shutdown, the FDA is "unable to support the majority of its food safety, nutrition, and cosmetics activities," the agency said in a statement on day 2 of the shutdown, adding that workers are available for "vital activities" like high-risk recalls.

Customers who purchased the recalled ice cream are instructed to return the packages to the place of purchase for a refund or call Turkey Hill Dairy at 1-800-MY-DAIRY. Here are the details of the recalled products:
