A formerly conjoined twin has died six months after a successful separation surgery.

A'zhari and A'zhiah Jones were separated in April at Virginia Commonwealth University's Children's Hospital of Richmond, in Virginia, when they were six months old, but Azhari died late Sunday night, a hospital spokesman confirmed to ABCNews.com. The hospital is not releasing information on the cause of death to respect the family's wish for privacy.
