Hand it to Chinese doctors. When Xiao Wei suffered a work accident and lost his right hand, surgeons couldn't reattach it immediately, so they replanted it on his ankle. Doctors drew on the blood supply from Wei's leg to keep the hand alive until they could sew it back on a month later. The Chinese are "pretty experienced in microsurgery," one British surgeon told the BBC.
