TripAdvisor has just announced its Travelers’ Choice Hotels for Families. Following are the five small hotels that topped the list.
When a hotel has repeat customers, that generally means it’s a decent place. Well, here’s a quote from the most recent TripAdvisor review for Pollace’s Family Vacation Resort: “My family has been going up there for years (since the early 1960s).” Don’t expect a five-star hotel, but do expect amazing hospitality. As another traveler put it, this is a “wonderful family resort run by a wonderful family.”
Don’t expect five-star luxury, but if you’re looking for a quality motel at a good price for a family trip to the Jersey Shore, the Starlight Motel & Luxury Suites could be a good bet for you. According to several TripAdvisor travelers, it’s “super clean,” and it’s just a block from the beach.
Here’s another hotel with guests who return summer after summer. Why? The extra-helpful staff, beachfront location, and clean rooms are a big draw, as is the overall family-friendly vibe. According to one TripAdvisor traveler, the Lampliter is “truly a family motel — you won’t have to worry about rowdy people or late night noise.”
The VIP Motel’s convenient kitchenettes, warm hospitality, and great pool are mentioned over and over again in the property’s TripAdvisor reviews. What’s more, as one traveler put it, “The place is CLEANNNNN!!”
TripAdvisor travelers say this place is spotless (“I actually saw the housekeepers strip the comforters off the bed, which I have never seen before”). Just a short walk from the beach and the town pier, it offers a heated pool (very important, as the beach in question is in Maine). If you have a big family group, consider one of the property’s three oceanfront cottages.
