Tim Laird’s Tailgate Party Food & Drink Recipes

It’s football season and what better way to enjoy it with some food and drink ideas from Tim Laird — America’s CEO Chief Entertaining Officer and author of “That’s Entertaining!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

*Two 8-ounce packages of cream cheese
*One 8-ounce container of blue cheese dressing
*One 12-ounce bottle of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
*Two cups cooked chicken breasts, shredded
*Two cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

*Frito Scoops

*Triscuits

*Celery sticks

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

*In a bowl, mix cream cheese, blue cheese, hot sauce and shredded chicken breast.  Spread in 9 x 9-inch pan and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.  Bake for 30 minutes.  Serve warm with Frito Scoops, Triscuits and celery sticks.

Serves 8 – 10

*Note:  This dip is medium hot.  For more or less heat, adjust the hot sauce.

*Note:  This can be baked in a disposable foil pan for easy transport to your tailgating site.

 

A Pair of Jacks

In a rocks glass with ice add:

One ounce Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey

Three ounces of Coke

Top with ½ ounce of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
