Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Breach Security at JFK
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West set off a security scare at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport when an airline employee allowed the couple to bypass a security checkpoint, according to the Transportation Security Administration.
The reality-TV star and her rapper boyfriend arrived at the airport on an international flight Tuesday, TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein told The Associated Press.
While trying to make their connecting flight at the airport, an airline employee led the couple "through a non-public area in order to provide expedited access to their domestic flight," Farbstein said.
Blowing through the security checkpoint prompted TSA officials to yank the couple off their flight to California to conduct the proper screening, Farbstein said.
The parents-to be were eventually cleared to board their flight, which departed after about a 50-minute delay.
Kardashian, 32, and West, 35, were photographed in Rio de Janeiro over the weekend visiting the Christ the Redeemer statue.
Kardashian didn't mention the security breach on her Twitter account Wednesday, but did say she was glad to be back in Los Angeles and to begin filming the eighth season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
