This T-Shirt Costs $91,500

Is this Hermes T-shirt the most expensive T-shirt in the world? Given that it costs nearly twice the median household income of a U.S. household, it's at least fair to say it's well out of reach of nearly every person in the nation.

But let's be honest, the Hermes store on NYC' s Madison Avenue, where the shirt is being sold, isn't exactly where the average Joe goes when he needs a new pair of pants.

The T-shirt isn't cotton, at least. It's made of crocodile skin, according to the NY Daily News. Which should anger animal rights activists in addition to those who will no doubt be angry at a person who would spend nearly $100,000 for a shirt that costs as much as some houses.

The animal rights group PETA called the shirt "cheap looking and ludicrous" and said, "Most people nowadays want to avoid looking like ignorant barbarians."

The store, when contacted by ABCNews.com, refused to comment on the shirt or confirm that it was for sale.

If you prefer a less expensive Hermes T-shirt, cotton and jersey Ts start at $300 on the retailer's web site.
