Home Depot Flash Mob Proposal Goes Viral

Dustin Reeser went to Home Depot expecting to meet his roommate to buy lighting for a party, and leave the Salt Lake City store without incident. But when he got there, he found the party waiting for him.

Reeser, 35, was told to stand on a small portable staircase while 25 dancers broke out into a flash mob to the tune of "Somebody Loves You" by Betty Who. Friends and family made surprise appearances in small groups, with some attending through video chat. And then came the big finale: his boyfriend's proposal.

Spencer Stout, 32, came out in a suit and tie.

"Dustin, I love you more than anything in this entire world," he said through tears. "And I would be honored if you would be by my side for the rest of my life."

Then he got down on one knee and held up a ring, which Reeser immediately accepted.

Stout had the entire event recorded, including Reeser's live reaction to the proceedings. It was uploaded to YouTube Thursday and has already received more than 1 million views.
