CONTEST SUMMARY:  Pregnant women share their wishes and dreams for life with their little one in 5 words or less, in the “IMAGINE ME & YOU” Million Moms Challenge contest. Pregnant women due to deliver by 11:59 p.m. EST, February 14, 2012, are eligible. To enter: Submit a photo of your “baby bump” adorned with a short message that captures that magic moment.  One grand prize winner will win a trip for 2 + baby to Sydney, Australia, for a portrait photo shoot with Anne Geddes.

 

 

CONTEST RULES

 

I.  NAME OF SPONSORS, PRESENTERS AND ADMINISTRATORS

Sponsors: American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. and the Million Moms Challenge campaign, 77 West 66th Street, New York, NY 10023; and The United Nations Foundation, 1800 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20036.

 

Presenters: Disney Baby, Disney Consumer Products, Inc. (“DCP”), 1101 Flower Street, Glendale, CA 91201-8659; and The Geddes Group Pty Ltd, Suite 3.05, 19A Boundary Street, Rushcutters Bay Sydney NSW 2011 Australia.

 

Administrators: American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. and a&g brand experiences, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.

 

II. ELIGIBILITY

Entrants must be legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, 21 years of age or older at time of entry, who are pregnant and expected to deliver their babies by 11:59 p.m. EST February 14, 2012. Since the contest winner will be selected prior to February 14, 2012, prospective entrants are advised not to enter unless they are certain they are due to deliver the baby within a timeframe that will allow safe travel of the winner and her baby to Sydney, Australia, (flight duration is approximately 14 hours from the West Coast of the United States.) which must be completed by April 20, 2012. Winner and baby must be medically fit to fly and may require a doctor’s certificate or letter as proof in order to collect the prize.

 

Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., the UN Foundation, DCP, Geddes Group, a&g brand experiences, any of the partners or designated friends of The Million Moms Challenge, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or play.  “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses.  “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.

 

“IMAGINE ME & YOU” IS LIMITED TO PREGNANT WOMEN WHO ARE EXPECTED TO DELIVER THEIR BABIES BETWEEN THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2011 AND FEBRUARY 14, 2012. THE PRIZE WILL ONLY BE AWARDED TO A WOMAN WHO IS DUE TO DELIVER BY FEBRUARY 14, 2012. THE WINNER AND HER BABY MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, FOR A ROUNDTRIP JOURNEY PRIOR TO APRIL 20, 2012. IN THE EVENT THAT THE WINNER AND/OR HER NEWBORN ARE UNABLE TO TRAVEL AT THIS TIME, THE PRIZE WILL BE FORFEITED AND AWARDED TO A RUNNER-UP. THE WINNER AND BABY MUST BE MEDICALLY FIT TO FLY, A DOCTORS CERTIFICATE OR LETTER MAY BE REQUIRED AS PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY TO COLLECT THE PRIZE.

 

III.  HOW AND WHEN TO ENTER

 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

 

Submit one (1) photo of your “baby bump” adorned with a brief message, 5 words or less. The words should capture a “magical moment” you are dreaming of, anticipating, hoping for, with your little one. Are there “firsts” you can’t wait to capture?

 

In your photo, your 5 words or less should appear over your baby bump. The “IMAGINE ME & YOU” contest prefers but does not require that the message is depicted on the skin of the pregnant entrant.  Message must be conveyed in text, with words, no drawings or images.

 

Any of the following is acceptable:

1)      The message written directly on the skin of your baby bump.

2)      The message written on clothing covering your belly bump.

3)      The message on a poster board held above your baby bump.

4)      The message written digitally (Photoshop writing is acceptable).

 

Some examples: “Sweet Baby Smell Snuggles” “Kissing Tiny Toes” “First Words Mommy/Daddy” “Telling Bedtime Stories” “Your First Smile”

 

Message must be clearly visible and legible in the photo. Entries should not be the work of a professional; Entrant must have the necessary rights, permission and authority to submit photo. Valid entries must include Email address and telephone number. If writing directly onto the skin of the pregnant belly, entrant must use non-toxic and removable ink.

 

Upon initial review of your submission, you may be contacted via email and or telephone, and asked for a full-body photo (clothed), for verification purposes.  This photo would ideally be taken at the same time as your Baby Bump photo, with the same clothes etc.

 

Contest entrant may enter only once and may only submit one (1) “IMAGINE ME & YOU” message for the duration of this contest.  Entries remain the property of Sponsors and will not be returned or acknowledged. ABC News, its associated entities, UN Foundation, Disney Baby and Geddes Group may use the photo submissions on air, on line, or share with other partners in relation to the Million Moms Challenge campaign and its partners and affiliates.

 

By entering the “IMAGINE ME & YOU” Contest, the contestant understands that she is joining the Million Moms Challenge campaign and her email address, mailing address and phone number will be shared with the Sponsors and Presenters, but not with other organizations without the contestant’s express consent. CONTEST DATES

Enter online at www.Facebook.com/MillionMomsChallenge between 7 a.m. EST, Thursday, November 24th, 2011 and 11:59 p.m. EST, Sunday, December 4th, 2011. Contestants may enter one time only. Entrants are required to submit email address and telephone number in order to enter. Contestants who advance in the competition will be required to furnish a mailing address.

 

Mass entries or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated methods will be disqualified.  If for any reason the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest Sponsors and Presenters reserve  the right, at their discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify or suspend the contest.  If canceled, Sponsors reserves the right at their discretion to determine the winner using all non-suspect eligible entries received up to the time of cancellation.  Sponsors are not responsible for failed, partial, delayed or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind in connection with entries or the entry process, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software.  In the event of a dispute over an electronic entry, prize will be awarded to the individual featured in the entry.

 

IV.  HOW AND WHEN WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED AND NOTIFIED

 

In the initial phase of the contest, entries will be judged based on originality and appeal of the message submission.  A panel of judges representing the contest’s Sponsors and Presenters will make the selection. Judges’ decisions are final.

 

One grand prize winner will be selected from all valid entries received.

 

Depending on the number of qualified entries received, Sponsors and Presenters may invite America to vote, to choose contest finalists (“America Chooses”).

 

If America Chooses:

12 qualified semi-finalists will be selected by a panel of judges (comprised of 1 voting judge from each of ABC News, the UN Foundation and Disney Baby). These 12 semi-finalist entries would be posted on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/MillionMomsChallenge, or through a tab on the Million Moms Challenge Facebook page, at or about 9 a.m. EST, Tuesday, December 6th, 2011.

 

Voters would then be asked to select their favorite submission from among the 12 semi-finalists. Of those, the three (3) to receive the most votes would become finalists. In the event of a tie, ABC News, UN Foundation and Disney Baby judges (different from those involved in selecting the semi-finalists) will break the tie.  Voting will end on December 15th, 2011 at 11:59 a.m. EST.

 

The finalists will be announced on or about December 16, 2011 at a time and in a manner to be announced, but at a minimum on-line at the websites and/or Facebook pages of the Million Moms Challenge, the Shot@Life and Disney Baby and Anne Geddes.

 

The grand prize winner will then be selected by Anne Geddes from among the three qualified finalists. The photographer, at her sole discretion, will select the winner from the three qualified finalists, based on criteria she chooses per her own creative and professional preference.

 

In the event that Sponsors and Presenters decide to forego the America Chooses component of the contest (as defined above), a panel of judges comprised of members from ABC News, UN Foundation and Disney Baby will choose up to 12 finalists from among all qualified entries; Anne Geddes will select the grand prize winner from those finalists.

 

The Grand Prize Winner will be notified by email, phone and certified mail.  Response to winner notification must be received by Sponsor within 10 business days or the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. In the event of forfeiture, the prize will be awarded to the next runner-up, this process will continue until a winner is selected. Final determination of semi-finalists, finalists and winner is always conditional on verification of eligibility and compliance with all rules and procedures.

 

The Grand Prize Winner will be announced in January, and will be featured on-line at the websites and/or Facebook pages of: the Million Moms Challenge, the Shot@Life and Disney Baby and Anne Geddes.

V.  PRIZE(S)

 

One Grand Prize Winner will receive a photography session with Anne Geddes in Sydney, Australia. Anne Geddes will shoot a portrait of the mother and her baby; photo session will not include any props or specialty features of the kind for which Geddes has been known. Images taken of winner and prints supplied may be substantively different from any and all images used to promote the contest. Furthermore, the winner’s portrait photo session and style of photograph shall be at the sole discretion of Anne Geddes.  Geddes’s known style of photography may not be indicative of the photographs taken with the winner of the competition.

 

Photo session is to take place in Sydney, Australia between approximately April 1 and April 20, 2012. Anne Geddes will deliver prints, via international mail, to the winner by approximately Sunday, May 13, 2012 (Mother’s Day). Winner will receive one (1) unframed 8 x 10 photo and two unframed (2) 5 x 7 photos; actual images provided will be selected at the sole discretion of the photographer. Images will remain the property of the Geddes Group.

 

Grand Prize Winner will also receive coach class air travel for two (2) adults, plus one (1) newborn child who will travel in the same seat with the mother (a separate plane seat is not included for the child), from an airport near the winner’s residence anywhere in the United States, to Sydney, Australia; one (1) hotel room for four (4) nights in Sydney, Australia (standard room, double occupancy, plus infant) in hotel of sponsor’s choosing; meals with daily stipend, and a daily stipend to cover some tourist travel for the four night duration only.

 

Travel must be scheduled so that no layover is expected in either direction. In the event of an unexpected layover in which airline will not voucher a hotel room, Prize will include one (1) night accommodation in a hotel of Sponsors’ choosing. Contest includes roundtrip ground transportation between the airport in Sydney, Australia and the hotel, and ground transportation to and from Anne Geddes photo studio.

 

All semi-finalists will receive gift baskets from Disney Baby valued at $500. Finalists will also receive a year’s supply of diapers from Huggies.

 

Approximate retail value of all prizes combined: $32,000.

 

Geddes Group will also supply digital copies of the photos to Sponsors and Presenters in advance of May 13, 2012 and under a separate licensing agreement will permit Sponsors and Presenters to use images for promotion and display.

 

Federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the Winner, who will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.

 

An additional cash prize may be awarded to winner; it is intended that the winner use any additional cash prize toward payment of Federal, State or local taxes; Sponsor makes no representations or warranties that any additional cash prize amount would be sufficient to pay all of Winner’s tax liability associated with receipt of any prize.

 

Winner and baby must be healthy and available to participate in the Geddes photo shoot by April 20, 2012 (baby must be at least two months of age). Winner and baby must have in their possession valid U.S. passports prior to travel, such that photo shoot may take place by April 20, 2012.

 

Winner may be asked to appear on Good Morning America (“Show”) via remote access on or around Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012. Winner agrees to make herself available for an interview by Skype or other means on or around that date.

 

Portions of the Prize are subject to availability. Sponsor is not responsible for cancellation or preemption of Show or for other circumstances that make it impractical or impossible to fulfill this or other elements of the prize.  Certain elements of the prize have no approximate retail value, and if it becomes impractical or impossible to fulfill such an element, Sponsor’s only obligation will be to provide the remainder of the grand prize.

 

The portrait by Anne Geddes may appear on air, or be featured on Sponsors’, Presenters’ and/or any of their promotional partner websites.

 

Final actual value at time of booking and travel may be substantially more or less depending on dates of travel, point of origin and ticket availability.  Some restrictions apply.

 

Contest Sponsors, Presenters or designated prize suppliers will only provide prize as outlined herein; any extension of travel dates by Winner will be Winner’s sole responsibility including insurance, personal liability etc .  All expenses not specifically provided for herein are the winner’s sole responsibility.  Some restrictions may apply.

 

Winners are not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsor in its sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

 

 

 

 

VI.  RELEASES

 

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsors, Presenters and Administrators, which shall be final in all respects.

 

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

By participating in this contest, Entrant releases Facebook from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in the contest and/or acceptance or use of the prize. Entrant acknowledges that the information being submitted is being submitted to Sponsors and not to Facebook.

 

By participating in the contest and accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., The Walt Disney Company, The United Nations Foundation, The Million Moms Challenge, The Geddes Group, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in the contest and/or acceptance or use of the prize.

 

Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material, in any media now known or hereafter created or conceived, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner’s list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law.  Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.

 

By submitting entry materials, entrants certify that such materials are original and created by entrant, that entrants have the necessary rights, permission and authority to submit such materials, and, if applicable, that entrants maintain a valid copyright in the materials.  Entrants assign all rights associated with their entry including photo as well as design, copyright in photo, likeness and image to Sponsors and Presenters. Entrants acknowledge that such materials may be included and/or discussed in a broadcast, that such discussion may include statements or opinions by the broadcast talent or others about the entrants, the entrants’ appearances and/or the materials, and that those statements and opinions may be considered surprising, embarrassing, defamatory or otherwise offensive or injurious to them.  Entrants release the Released Parties from any actions, claims, injury, loss or damage allegedly caused, directly or indirectly, by any such statements or opinions made during a broadcast.

 

All Semi-finalists/Finalists agree to execute any and all releases requested in association with their entry in this contest and/or any other materials submitted or requested all within the time period specified by Sponsors, Presenters, and/or Administrators or that Semi-Finalist/Finalist may be disqualified from further participation.

 

To claim Prize, Grand Prize Winner must: (a) provide proof of age, residency, and legal status; (b) sign and return eligibility, publicity, liability, rules compliance and any other releases requested by Sponsor; and (c) have winner’s intended travel companions, if any, sign and return releases requested by Sponsor; all within the time period specified by Sponsors, Presenters, and/or Administrators or Grand Prize may be forfeited and awarded to a runner-up. (d) must be medically fit to fly, and may be required to present a doctors letter to prove this fact.

 

VII.  MISCELLANEOUS; WINNERS’ LIST

 

Void where prohibited.  All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

 

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the contest in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the contest as originally planned.

 

Grand Prize Winner’s name will be posted at www.millionmomschallenge.com for 60 days after contest end date.
