Analysis: Michele Bachmann Wins Tea Party Debate

With her standing in the polls slipping, Michele Bachmann needed to find a way to capture the spotlight she held earlier this summer.

She just may have done that tonight at the Tea Party Express/CNN debate in Tampa, Florida.

Bachmann, the founder of the Tea Party Caucus in the House, knew her audience well and it showed.

Unlike former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Bachmann took a pass at criticizing front-runner Texas Gov. Perry on Social Security and she refused to weigh in on Perry’s comment last month that  Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke may be “treasonous.”

Instead she waited patiently to pounce on Perry when the debate turned to the issues she knew would connect with the audience in the hall.

She attacked Perry for his decision to require HPV vaccinations in Texas, calling it “a government injection through executive order” and a “violation of a liberty interest.”

She knows that while the Tea Party activists are not fans of the federal government, they don’t love big business either.

“We cannot forget that in the midst of this executive order,” said Bachmann, “there was a big drug company that made millions of dollars because of this mandate…The drug company gave thousands of dollars in political donations to the governor and this is just flat out wrong”

She also attacked Perry on illegal immigration – another issue that plays well in a GOP primary.

Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if this performance will have any effect on her poll standing. Bachmann’s weakness has been her inability to prove she can expand her appeal beyond her Tea Party base. This debate performance only reinforced that perception .

Perry is learning why it’s no fun being the front-runner. He was under attack from all sides: Mitt Romney on Social Security; Ron Paul on taxes; Bachmann and Santorum on HPV and Bachmann on immigration.

The crowd initially stood behind the Texas Governor – cheering him on during his defense of his jobs record and Social Security positioning.

But as the debate wore on, Perry was clearly exhausted by having to play defense for almost two hours and the crowd seemed weary of him too.

The question now is how much more pummeling can the Texas Governor take before it starts to take a toll? There’s another debate in Florida less than two weeks from today. Can Perry get back on offense during that one?

Romney, meanwhile was speaking beyond the room not to the room. His attacks on Perry’s record on job creation fell flat – even eliciting a few boos among the audience.

And, while many pundits – Democrat and Republican – have called Perry’s “Ponzi scheme” description of Social Security problematic, it wasn’t much of an issue among this crowd.

Finally, no one looked more out of place on that stage than Jon Huntsman. He showed zero ability to connect with the audience. Even his attempts at jokes fell flat.

It would have been nice for her to answer the question about the 30 year old coma patient, but she dodged it, just like the Libya question last debate. I disagree. I thought she was shrill and uninformed.

I wouldn`t go as far to say she won. Maybe if every other word out her mouth was not “Obama care”, “Obama Care”, Obama Care”.. We get it Michelle. She did better than the old married couple, Romney, Perry. Perry actually acknowledged, He could not be bought for 5k. A better course of action, Would be to say, He could not be bought period. But slick Rick loves to slip… Herman Cain “999″, “999″. Bachmann did better than Cain. Huntsman sounded like he wanted to start a kumbaya circle. The rest of them, Sounded the same. Living up to the name 7 dwarfs. Switching up principals to fit agenda. You know Ron Paul won. He might have got booed by the war mongers, Most of whom have never fought in a war. But i have to support the consistent one. Who knows what the rest of them will be saying next week, Let alone next year.

I agree with Robta….she came across to me as a candidate with no substance. Skimmed the edges of the debate and offered nothing deep and consistent. Wants the government to not interfere with individual rights, then mentioned nothing about why she would like them to step in and not allow abortions though. She sounded like a babbling baffoon. Can’t tell the gov’t to stay out of private lives one minute then interject them in another. Mitt owned this debate.

Then again, I did really like Ron Paul’s answers. Seems the most honest and answers with what he believes…not what polls and pundits tell him to answer.

Posted by: micha | September 12, 2011, 11:37 pm 11:37 pm

I tuned in tonight out of curiosity as I’m primarily left leaning. I was surprised by Ron Paul as I found his message very sincere, in that I agree with Micha. The others not only seemed fake, but scary and made me fear the Bush years were coming back. (Perry)

I find it most interesting that the network who held tonights debate did not even dare include Ron Paul in their poll today, they only gave the choice of Romney Perry or Bachman. After Ron Paul took over the front runner spot in after debate polling last week I guess they dared not take any chances lol. Ron Paul is the current front runner even if it does not get reported he still gets the most votes by a large margin in most every instance.

Posted by: chris | September 12, 2011, 11:59 pm 11:59 pm

@Susan….what do you mean “the Bush years were coming back” They NEVER left….Obama is carrying the torch. You want it to end, you vote for the good Dr. Youll have to register Republican if your state has a closed primary though.

Ron Paul in. Vote out the media

Posted by: fittinguy | September 13, 2011, 12:43 am 12:43 am

I would not say Bachmann won the debate. Bachmann wants to be president so bad she can taste it. She is mad because Perry jumped into the race and topped the polls. Mitt also wants that job. As far as Social Security Perry is part right. I am glad he brought that up as I am on Social Seurity and am now thinking of having a list of my total earnings and my husband’s also to find out the percentage taken from my check and combined with his. Also, when aa person reaches the age of 65 and collects his social security plus is still working there should be a ban on taking social security from the paycheck. They are making a killing on that.

Bachman didn’t win anything! Ron Paul won. This media shut out is getting old. Do the media think that Americans are really that stupid?

Posted by: jean | September 13, 2011, 12:45 am 12:45 am

Ron Paul was riight. Bachman and Miitt want to bring Perry down because they are bitter over losing ground in the polls. They never talked about the economy, jobs, or bring the soldiers back home from Iraq and Afghan. They jumped on Perry instead of getting to the issues. I would not vote for either of them. I am a Republican but I would vote Obama if it came to either Bachman or Mitt becoming the nominee. Neither one of them could run this country or talk to world leaders. Bachman has a big mouth to begin with and Mitt would be good as a VP.

They tried to shut Ron Paul out and he still won. Lets face it guys, the gig is up. If these elections are not fixed ron Paul will win the Republican nomination and will win the presidency. People are tired of fighting endless wars and paying taxes to finace rich bankers.

I`m with Cain or Trump…….these people are junior high students wanting to play college ball, none of which have really showed up for practice, people are really putting their fears into these front dressers, Trump doesn`t even dress like these people, he may be rich but he has a working mans heart and has a short patience for dragging talk out, time is money and Trump is business.

As someone who was looking for the “Hope and Change” Obama promised in 2008, I’ve been less than impressed with where we are at…still. Curious to see who the GOP has to offer. I really do like Ron Paul. Seems many people have that same opinion from the comments I’ve read. Better than all the other whiners and war mongers standing on stage with him!

Posted by: Interested Dem | September 13, 2011, 4:28 am 4:28 am

It takes a cold heart and a lack of conscious to allow somebody to die when you are able to help. I’m sure everybody heard some from the TP cheer at the at the prospect of “let him die”. I am going to be just as cold hearted when I state “I hope it happens to your loved ones so you can watch and feel the pain of helplessness.” (Actually I do not wish that on anybody, but you get the point.)

And these are the same people who espouse a “christian” nation? And there is no way you can tell me that the TP members are a responsible lot. If there is no concern for your fellow man, then you have no concern for life at all.

Forget about Health Care. Forget about education. Forget about civility. Forget about common decency. The TP is wants you to die.

I had some thoughts about Ron Paul, not anymore. Let him die.

Michele Bachmann is the only hope for a change for the better in the USA.

Lets be honest about it,Obama has always been a one term president and I pray that in 2012 the USA will elect President Michele Bachmann to take over.

God Bless America

The fact that Huntsman can’t connect with that group SHOULD make him the front runner of the Republican party. What a shame that it is being taken over by these poor folks who just seem angry and scared and can’t see a larger picture.

“She sounded like a babbling baffoon. Can’t tell the gov’t to stay out of private lives one minute then interject them in another.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sure she can, when the interference is in support of her personal beliefs and enforcing them via government regulations on others. When the government is doing something she disagrees with, however, of course she’s all about keeping them out of the ‘private lives’ of the citizens. Two-faced double standard. She thinks the Soviet Union still exists and that John Quincy Adams was a founding father, to name a few of her many blunders. It’s clear she doesn’t know very much about US or world history (and those who fail to learn the mistakes of history…), is not above rewriting history to suit her political needs of the moment, and worst yet, she lies and blames everybody but herself and her own ignorance when her errors are called out. We don’t need dishonest and/or uninformed people as President. Haven’t WE, the voters, learned the lessons of history?

Michele Bachmann and the Seven Dwarfs: lol!!!! I Really Hope You American Voters Will Wake up and Smell the Coffee, Because (THE TRIPPING EIGHT DON’T HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT TO DO) their only Recourse Is To REPEAL Those Things the President of the United States has Already Put In Place, They Don’t Have Any New Ideas; Wait A Moment, Michele Bachmann and the Seven Dwarfs Don’t have Any Type of Plan To help This Country Out of It’s Current Situation.

What a farce! The only two viable candidates — Paul and Huntsman — will never make it because they have REAL ideas. The GOP is a circus and the front runners are a bunch of clowns who will drag this country further into ruin. God HELP America! Bachmann shouldn’t be allowed to speak. She’s an idiot and an embarrassment.

Posted by: carole | September 13, 2011, 8:56 am 8:56 am

So what the analysis showed is that of all the idiots in the room, the biggest idiot won? Wow, the GOP is really in trouble if a moronic, bigoted, intolerant, self centered, religious, rightwing nutjob wins.

Bachmann “won” a debate, huh? Wow! That must have been a real meeting of the minds! It boggles the mind (and scares the hell out of me for the future of our country) that ANYONE would take her seriously as a candidate. We need to look no further than her supporters as evidence of the failures of our education system to educate our citizenry.

I mean why do you think the Media hates Ron Paul, I mean why does everyone who is in particular Jewish hate Ron Paul in the Media? Look please what is in front of your nose, and looks like a booger, MUST BE A BOOGER! The only reason these people tout Michelle Bachman is cause she is SWORN TO ISRAEL AND WILL DO ANYTHING FOR ISRAEL…she even went to a Kubbutz as a young girl…I mean please Americans. These people have done tremendous damage, take back your nation..ITS YOUR NATION..YOU FOUGHT AND DIED FOR THIS NATION…TAKE IT BACK. Vote for Paul WHO WANTS TO END THESE HOLY WARS FOR ISRAEL…simple as that..or vote for the ISRAELI WING IN THE MEDIA, AS MORT ZUCKERMAN IS PROUD TO CALL IT, AND CONTINUE THESE WARS AT TRILLIONS A CLIP! Since I think the entire Tea Party is crazy this is like saying Michelle is the winner of cluster crazy. So is the new campaign mantra off the right going to be anti-government all the way here? Gee, this makes sense since most of them grew it big time during Bush. They should just say “vote for me, so I can make sure we privatize every piece of government I can get my hands on so my friends can make more profits off your tax money.”

Your article title is eye catching. It was not a ‘Tea Party debate’. It was a Republican debate sponsored by CNN and the Tea Party Express.

Republican Rick Perry
Republican Mitt Romney
Republican Ron Paul
Republican Michele Bachmann
Republican Rick Santorum
Republican Newt Gingrich
Republican Herman Cain
Republican Jon Huntsman

The debate is being called a ‘Tea Party debate’ all over the web and TV.

I wonder why???

I don’t know what planet this commentator came from but she was watching the same debate I was watching. Actually,, I thought several of the candidates had good points. I was VERY disappointed in Bachmann. She only sings one tune – Obamacare. I’m quickly coming to the conclusiong she doesn’t have the depth we need in a President. TOO little experience – like someone else I know who is in office. Still like Romney the best.

Posted by: Susan Marzec | September 13, 2011, 10:57 am 10:57 am

I think Michelle Bachman probably accomplished what she hoped to accomplish – so its a personal victory for her campaign managers. Ultimately though, unless the media starts up the Bachman hype machine again – she doesn’t really have much of a core base of support.

That could change quickly if she gets Palin’s endorsement.
Palin isn’t going to run. Palin’s coyness is only to keep her eventual endorsement at the highest possible value.

Palin will want to be perceived as anointing the winner.

So it’ll come late, but not so late as its already decided. I’d say there is zero chance Romney is getting that endorsement. Palin would love to endorse Bachman, but she has to stay in contention.

Palin, like most american women – is sexist, and will undoubtedly place a high premium on endorsing another female candidate – but not at the cost of supporting someone that can’t win.

If Bachman’s too far out of it, look for Palin to endorse Perry or someone like that. Right now Bachman is too far out. But, Bachman’s strategy is to edge closer – and hope for Palin to save her.

Frankly I don’t care what Palin thinks, Palin is a moron – I’m supporting Ron Paul early – and sticking with support of Ron Paul throughout.

A debate featuring one or two serious contenders running for President and a cast of CLOWNS for comic relief. I don’t think people are laughing because leading this Nation is an extremely daunting and serious thing but you’d never know that when looking at the low-brained cast that has thrown their hats in the ring. PLEASE save us from what Republicans THINK a leader should be!!!!!

Say Bachmann won this debate is like saying she won an Ugly contest. As one comment above notes, she is shrill and uninformed. Not a single good idea from any of these candidates. Just the same old tired rhetoric that got us into this mess in the first place. Seeing these clowns actually makes me miss GWB.

Joe Russo,
If you think Obama is bad at foreign policy, he is a genius compared to Ron Paul. Anyone who thinks (like Obama and Paul) that, if we just leave them alone, they will leave us alone is completely clueless! These people attacked us because they want to kill all Christians that will not bow to their ways. We did not attack or seek to enslave them, we never have. If you have an enemy you must either protect yourself from him or strike first to fight him on your terms. Israel has proved that time and time again. Paul is a Libertarian who runs as a Republican in TX because he knows he would never get elected dog catcher, let alone Congressman as a Libertarian. He has as much “Kumbaya” in him as Hunstman!

I’ve only read three comments so far, and two out of three are from Ron Paul supporters. I find it strangely comedic that one of these commenters credits Paul with not going by polls and saying what the pundits tell him to say, when Paul supporters are famous for spamming polls and comments pages.Make no mistake. Ron Paul is not the “Father of The Tea Party”, nor is he hts Grandfather or Godfather. If anything, Paul is the Crazy Uncle Of The Tea Party who we just cant quite seem to be able to keep locked in the attic. He, and they, are an embarrassment of monumental proportions. 9/11 Truthers and Stormfront neo-Nazis do not make for true republican principles, whether that be big R Republican or small r republican. When you have a candidate who is supported by the likes of these nuts, and who conducts half his campaign on the Alex Jones Show, Houston we have a problem.

I agree with the writer of the post. Bachman won, and she won handily at that. In fact, it wasn’t really even a contest.

“I raised $30 million and if you’re saying I can be bought for $5,000, I’m offended,” Rick Perry said, referring to pay-to-play allegations about contributions from the drug company that manufactured the vaccine.

Pathetic !!. When asked about Bernanke, she turned coward and didnt answer. She is crap and you’re an idiot if you think she won the debate..lol

Posted by: k lilly | September 13, 2011, 12:33 pm 12:33 pm

I thought Michelle Bachmann definitely won the debate. Rick perry was knocked down a few pegs, but will probably stay in the lead for now. Mitt Romney badly misread the pulse of the Tea Party by trying to resort to class warfare like a democrat. Rick Santorum continues to be too focused on social issues when right now it is all about the economy. Ron Paul refuses to discuss anything without retreating to military isolationism. We all want peace and want our troops home, but we also see that wanting that and doing it are very different things. He has some good ideas but he refuses to put any of them forward without a full retreat. We can discuss responsible ways to end the wars and reduce our foreign commitments, but this all or nothing approach makes him completely unreasonable. John Huntsman continues to look like a democrat. Herman Cain had a good night and reminded a lot of people why they like him. But Bachmann definitely had the best night. She has to prove that she is electable and she took a lot of steps toward that goal. If she fails to ignite the passion of the voters, Sarah Palin may need to step in.

Miss Backman, It grieved me to see Wolf Blitzer manipulate Conservatives into attacking each other in the debate last night; and get away with it. Social Security may not be a Ponzi scheme but it’s used like one by the Government. New investors or contributors must be enrolled to supplement retiree payments, while the Gov continues to rape and pillage the fund.
I lost a portion of respect for some I admired & have a new respect for Newt who was previously #8 on my list. Several times he momentarily re-focused the attack on Obama and not Republicans; it didn’t last. The candidate that refrains from this and at the same time articulates all Conservative views will be nominated. Obama has blamed the Republicans for every conceivable problem in existence over the last few years. Do we want to do the same.

Newt came off like he knew all the problems, but his resolve wasn’t established. Romney and Perry, I see nothing but the same old politics we want to get away from. They talked the talk, but it seems both were talking to someone else rather than the room they were in. Bachmann has some firm belief and may be correct on some issues, but without speaking up when Perry and Romney were playing tennis at their podium with words attacking each others book, she sort of stumbled without adding her 2 cents worth. Ron Paul sort of said some good things, but like a fire cracker ready to go off, he just fizzed out wondering if it will explode or not toward the end. Bachmann in my eyes had some quality answers, but it seems she didn’t want to rebuttal with any other player. If I had to chose right this minute, I would go with Newt because he knew the problems and if he became president, the country itself can put him on the spot to fix those waste-less areas. But then again, if a president can’t have a country come together behind him or her, our politics will just stay a fiasco, as it has been as of late. The rest on stage didn’t say enough to catch my interest. And what they did say was to slam everything and establish nothing in particular. with all the problems and solutions they all tend to agree on, it was a pretty mild night.

The fact that Huntsman DID NOT connect with that audience is exactly why he WILL get my support. I’m tired of conservatives & moderates kow-towing to the radicals on the right. Huntsman is far and away the most successful, wordly, scholarly and level-headed candidate in the debates, it’s just too bad we live in a society where crazy sells. I wouldn’t trust Bachmann or Perry with mowing my lawn, why the @#$% would I trust them as president? His jokes, though unfunny to that crowd, actually showed wit and a grasp of the English language. Comparing his humor to that of Perry or Romney is like comparing the standup routines of George Carlin with Carrot Top.

It’s sad that Ron Paul can explain his points so clearly yet so many sheep on this board still don’t have half a brain to understand it. Our country cannot keep murdering people, bribing dictators, rigging elections, and weaseling corporate interests onto other countries through force and not expect to be attacked. Other countries will fight for their freedom from our crimes. No one wants to live under a dictatorship, and they will fight us for their freedom just as our founders fought for theirs. If we keep supporting murder and borrowing and printing money to do it, then this country is screwed.

I just love the fact that the Republicans are so united…
They can’t lose….lol…
And they care so much about the American people….My hats off to them…..If it could afford a hat on a teachers salary.

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann clearly won the debate. She is a strong, independent, intelligent, attractive, articulate, powereful and accomplished conservative woman. She has been selected by Forbes Magazine as one of the 100 most powerful women in the world. She is ranked number 22 behind Oprah (14), Michelle Obama (8) and Hillary (2). She has also been selected by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Americans, whether male or female. This terrifies the liberals who prefer their women to be either “left-wing kooks” or to stay barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. Michele reminded me last night of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher who used to give “hell” to the Labour Party on TV during the Prime Minister’s Q & A Sessions in Parliament. Margaret Thatcher was the “Iron Lady of the 20th Century!” Michele is the “Iron Lady of the 21st Century!”

LOL….LOL….so it is come to this …huh? In order to keep this empty, airhead (who dodges all relevant substantive questions) relevant to the GOP primary contest we have to say she “won the tea partyn audience portion”. LOL…LOL….The very extreme element that is destroying the GOP. LOL….LOL What a ‘spin’ that one is. It doesn’t matter. They cannot win on the national stage.

Except for Ron Paul, who has consistently had the same message for more years than I can remember, none of the candidates can be trusted to believe and do after the election the things they believe and do now. It was Ron Paul who pointed out in one of the recent debates that George W. Bush campaigned on a kinder, gentler foreign policy and then did just the opposite.

Sounds like a bunch of Obama supporters on this site! Go criticize your own party you dips!
Just look what your “Hope & Change” has brought. Any one of these candidates could do better than Obama! I say Bachmann is the only real honest person running 2012. She’s spot on with the core of true American values and has the guts to take on the phonies and take back this country from the liberals before it too late. If you think she’s CRAZY, honey you aint seen noth’n yet!

Perfect article. Bachmann won the debate fair and square.

Michelle Backmann kicked Rick Perry’s butt last night and so did Ron Paul. He is going down in flames. (No pun intended to the 3.5 million acres of forest fires in Texas.) I am a 3rd generation white male in Texas (56 yeas old) and I will never vote for Rick Perry.

That’s funny, CBS is saying Romney won the debate. Where are the poll results? Does anyone trust the liberal news media anymore?

Posted by: meab | September 13, 2011, 4:21 pm 4:21 pm

I thought Bachmann was the clear winner, with Gingrich–and I’m no fan of Gingrich–a close second. Most importantly, and something nobody is talking about, is how she clearly exposed Romney’s states’ rights/executive order fallacy. That is where she hit a grand slam homerun. Bachmann and Gingrich both got the biggest and most enthusiastic cheers from the audience. Paul was a foreign policy trainwreck. Romney and Huntsman were Fake and Faker. Santorum, despite having a snowball’s chance, was admiringly passionate and effectively exposed Paul’s Achilles’ heel. Perry was just there, completely unimpressive, and frankly, boring. Cain was refreshing and appeared in better command of the facts than in past debates.

Do you really want Michelle Bachman to have access to the nuclear trigger, this is a woman who seems amused by the idea that we should let people die if they can’t afford health care coverage.

Thank you Michele! Keep defending our freedoms & liberty! Your voting record shows you are fiscally & socially conservative & strong on National Defense. Americans love your honesty & boldness.

Michele Bachmann did what???? Clearly you had to have watched Married With Children or something else, but what ever it was, it was not the debate. This woman never answered a single question asked of her, all she did was rant and rave about ObamaCare and vaccines…..ok….we get it…..but if she can’t stay focused in any way shape or form on the questions being asked of her, then Wolf Blitzter should have done everyone a favor and just cut her off. She is a mess. She did not win anything in my book!!!

Michelle Bachmann definitely won the debate last night! In all the times I have watched her, I have NEVER disagreed with her!!! I love her passion and commitment to the U.S. Constitution especially how she never wanted to raise the debt ceiling and stuck to her guns, even when ridiculed about it, but Michele was Right! It just ended up giving Obama a blank check for more spending! She’s right about the Vaccines too! I really am impressed with Michele Bachmann and I believe she won the debate!!!

Vote Ron Paul!

*He has never voted to raise taxes.

*He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.

*He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.

*He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

*He voted against the Patriot Act.

*He has never voted for restrictions on internet anonymity/privacy.

*He voted against the Iraq war and all other illegal wars.

*He wants to get us out of the U.N. and NATO.

*He returns a portion of his annual congressional office income to the U.S. treasury every year.

*He wants to bring the troops home A.S.A.P. From EVERYWHERE to provide for the national defense.

*He wants to abolish the IRS and the income tax to replace them with nothing.

*He will end the Federal Reserve and legal tender laws to allow for competition between debt-free currencies.

*He wants to end the failed drug war, pardon non-violent drug-offenders from prison, and phase out DEA.

*He has never compromised on any of his principles. He is ideologically consistent with 20 years of tenure in the House of Representatives. He wants to apply his strict Constitutional beliefs (and actions) to the White House and the Executive Branch in order to give the states their sovereignty back. We need to help him accomplish this. Spread the message of LIBERTY! RON PAUL 2012!

For those that question Ron Paul’s view on foreign policy, consider this. Imagine that you are 20 something male in Saudi Arabia or Yemen or Afghanistan or wherever. You have not made much of your life and you are feeling disenchanted. The United States military has troops in your country or the next country and many of your friends have died or been injured because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Two recruiters approach you. The first recruiter wants you to join a jihad against Canada. The second recruiter wants you to join a jihad against the United States. Which do you choose?

The major organizers of various organizations throughout the world may have some beef with the “way of life” in the United States. but the only way they can survive is to find followers that have been wronged. No one joins an organization because of what is happening on the other side of the world. They join because of what is happening in their own neighborhood.

Do you want to feel safer? If you do, you’ll support leaders who understand that intervention by our government in the affairs of other countries does not “promote freedom..” It just breeds resentment. And of all of the candidates on the stage last nite, only Ron Paul understands that.

I think Ron Paul did well in spite of the push back. Ms. Bachmann may have played the crowd, but you can’t win with demagoguery and incorrect information. That is the best I can say for her benefit, maybe she did know that Obamacare is actually The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). This is a federal statute that was signed into law in the United States by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. Therefore how can he steal 500 million from Medicare to support the PPACA? If she didn’t know, like with Sarah Palin I am taken by uninformed leadership that belittles others. If she did know, then she is the wrong person for any party. How can one be conservative about fiscal policy and not conservative with twisting truth?

Have Ron Paul and Gov. Perry been drinking from the same water source? Those two are getting very scarey with their comments lately?.

It’s funny when bloggers call themselves “Interested Democrat” – as if conservatives are the minority and we must beg Dems to stop window shopping and come in. Let’s face it – if conservatives were the minority, liberals would be making us their newest victim to save.

What? Bachmann had 7% of the vote at the end of the debate so exactly how is that winning? not to mention Bachmann a broken record she must have said Obamacare no less than 40 times! This woman is a joke in her 8 plus years in office she done nada but pass one little bill, ” The lightbulb act” big whoopie! also might add does she ever do any work in Minn? why they elect her whwn she spends 90% of her time in other states running for president! we wont even start on her whacked religious views and statements not to mention her 10.000 so called gaffs that looks more like sheer stupidity!

Well isn’t this a news worthy story. Pathetically unintelligent. She will never be, President. Now that most of her constituency know her politics, I’ll give 3 to1 that she looses her congressional seat, too.
Bye-Bye Michelle. Thank God for that and I don’t even believe in that mental illness.

“Just Say Yes”… The President speaks out today in the Carolinas. President Obama says infrastructure jobs that have no shelve life ready for construction. These Jobs are Empty Jobs they do nothing to help create a growth industry other than a temporary wave of government sponsored jobs with no place to go after the bridge is built or the highway has been repaired. It costs the average job seeker that’s willing to latch on to these Dead End Jobs the cost of purchasing Boots, of a Hardhat, work Gloves, of Union Dues, and a place at the back of the line waiting for approval for unemployment benefits that might not be available after being gainfully employed for this window of opportunity to say you’ve got a Job… a job with drawbacks and plenty of uncertainty as the winter months take their toll on the economy across America. This isn’t a vote for stability, this is another crap shoot building an infrastructure that could wait until the need arises for commerce itself to generate the impetus for those better roads and bridges to fairy our products to market… not the other way round. This is the same exact storyline associated with the last Stimulus proposition… the Wagon belongs at the back of the Horse, not the other way round. Imagine this situation for all it details… you buy the necessities required by the job… out of pocket, you pay for the transportation fuel to and from the jobsite… out of pocket, you pay for ChildCare, sounds like ObamaCare, and than you pay Local, State, and Federal Taxes, Employment Insurances, and than you realize you’re making less than you were making drawing Unemployment Benefits. You’re tired; you’ve spent twice as much for food where you no longer qualify for Food Stamps, or Energy Assistance… whose really getting jerked off again! Now’s the time to insist this Jobs Bill gets overhauled before you do! Insist on applying these funds into non-governmental infrastructure projects that will almost surely guarantee a permanent solution for a jobs opportunity locally for you and your family that will still be around in the years to come… if we invest wisely!!! There’s a Great Opportunity to repair this nations economy if we elect to ignore and postpone these so-called infrastructure projects the President is selling to the American people in a manner that makes him look like a used car sales person… don’t fall for this rhetoric, insist on homegrown projects being developed that address those basic building blocks we all require to manage our Health and Nutritional needs, don’t Buy this Clunker Sales pitch, demand a community appraisal be done on devastated areas of your economy and the usage of local and state lands to invest in areas that have a high probability once developed will create a steady stream of Revenue for future generations, this will make Social Security solvent, this is render the issue of Healthcare back to reliable hands… you need to trust in yourselves and do the right thing here… Just Say Yes is a disaster waiting to happen, don’t do it. If you have doubts about this proposal, side with caution, do your homework. Need hints on developing employment ideas, just call someone that’s been silenced in all this debate on the best way to attack this problem. We got so much waste land available for production, for redevelopment and use… the government needs to release these lands and water-ways for repair and long-term usage, they need to relinquish their ties to these properties in a manner that vaporizes any and all taxation for the next Century or until these venture capitalists realize a net gain in their business operations. It’s slow growth, but it’s positive growth in Every Respect!
