First Couple Get Flirty at DNC Fundraiser
President Obama and the first lady gave a glimpse of their lighter sides Tuesday night, exchanging in playful – and at times downright flirtatious – banter at a glamorous million-dollar campaign fundraiser at the Gotham Theater in New York City.
Taking the stage to introduce her husband before a crowd of 400 donors, Michelle Obama hailed the event as “sort of like our date night.”
“I would like to thank all of you for planning such a lovely, intimate evening for the two of us,” she said, with a tinge of sarcasm that drew laughter from the crowd. “A little dinner, Alicia Keys. Really nice touch.”
“Who knows what will happen?” she said with a grin.
Mrs. Obama lamented the fact that she and her husband “rarely” travel together anymore due to the demands of office. But she said the day-to-day grind of the presidency hasn’t changed her affection for the man she married 19 years ago.
“The only difference that I can think of is that the salt is starting to catch up with the pepper in his hair,” she said with a grin. “I think it’s quite sexy, but it’s coming.”
President Obama returned the compliment, asking the crowd upon taking the stage, “Did you notice how she’s getting cuter?”
“She is remarkable, and it is the reason that I’ve got remarkable kids,” he said. “I have improved my gene pool. And it is true, this is the closest we get to a date — which I’m going to have to fix in about 14 months.”
In 14 months, Obama will have concluded his reelection campaign. And, if he has his way, that celebratory date with Michelle will include not only a toast to 20 years together, but also a second presidential term.

Good. At least he knows he is not going to be reelected.

Darned cute. What was Mrs. Obama wearing by the way? If I’d paid $38,000 for my plate and didn’t get a chance to gaze upon the most famous bare shoulders in America as I grazed, I’d be disappointed.

Focus like a Laser on those jobs. Good thing that the justice department is covering up Solyndra and Fast and Furious for him.

Rich is bad, poor is good. Who are the poor people who can afford $38.000 for a plate??????

What? They rarely travel together anymore? They may not take the same plane, but they sure travel together more than the average American family.
Politicians get flirty in public when they are trying to make a political point, or when they are trying to counter some rumor. It is in the best interest of the citizens if we manage to ignore their relationships with their family, and focus on their policies.

Yeah, that comment made me gag too. When the both of you deliberately take separate taxpayer-chartered airliners, hours apart, to the same exact destination, you’re not a victim of cirmcustances.

I admire BOTH President Obama AND his wife! I enjoyed their banter and I also find them to be very down to earth. I can’t wait to see them dance together at the next Inagural Ball!!! OBAMA 2012!!!

This whole story makes me nauseous. This is not news. This is unabashed devotion to the first family.

Disgustingly rich republicans, flaunting their wealth instead of paying taxes.

Great idea. Then maybe we won’t see critical posts here about Michelle Obama’s fashions, or bashing her garden, or denigrating her daughters’ school, or huffing about the gifts the First Family presents to the Queen of England.

Obama 2012……real people who wasn’t born with an attitude of ‘entitlement” or a “silver spoon” stuck in their mouths. 4 more and America is on it’s way AGAIN after a decade of losers “gamely” sucking us in for the kill. Low wage jobs, richer getting richer, uneducated kids (except theirs), more prisons than schools, crumbling infrastructure, stinking airports, rotting schools, uninsured Americans…….Glad I have a choice.

“First Couple Get Flirty at DNC Fundraiser” — So? Who cares? This means what, other than for propaganda purposes? Now, had this been a story about TexBork and his wife then maybe it would be interesting, at least to me and my wife, but if they wanna play suckie-face who gives a damn. Now, it might be news if it were Bill and Hillary acting like they are together, it might be interesting, but this ain’t news.
