Hoffa On Tea Party: ‘Let’s Take These Sons Of Bitches Out!’

Warming up the crowd before President Obama’s speech in Detroit this afternoon, Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. had some choice words for the Tea Party.

Hoffa warned the largely union crowd that there was a “war on workers” and urged organized labor to take to the ballot box to fight lawmakers that oppose the president’s agenda.

“We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner. It’s going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We’re going to win that war,” Hoffa told thousands of workers gathered for the annual Labor Day rally.

“President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march… Everybody here’s got a vote…Let’s take these sons of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong,” he concluded.

Not all labor leaders have recently sounded like such willing soldiers. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka told journalists in Washington last m0nth that the union would seek to take more of a direct role in elections, in part bypassing Democrats.

Mr Hoffa – please don’t “take out” my mother! She’s 75 yeasr old and aligns with the tea party just becasue she thinks the government has gotten irresponsible with its spending.

After the Bush administration doubled the national debt, it didn’t take a tea party member to perceive government has been irresponsible with its spending. It’s unfortunate the Bush era not only delivered massive debt and huge deficits, it also delivered a massive economic collapse that basically handcuffed the new administration and put great pressure on government resources, services – and the deficit.

Ah, the Democrats’ new Era of Civility strikes again.

Remember back in 2008 when John McCain repudiated the talk-show host who emphasized then-candidate Obama’s middle name?

We’ll be watching and waiting to see if President Obama renounces his own warm-up act.

Of course there are the “Go To Hell” comments of Representative Waters and the “hanging on a tree” comments of Representative Carson to consider also.

Since they’re serving President Obama by implementing Saul Alinsky’s Rule No. 12, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it,” he’ll have to handle it with some delicacy, lest he dissuade others from carrying on with it right up until the 2012 election.

After all, he can’t demonize all by himself, can he? It would be too obvious, and might even appear unseemly to those who aren’t Democrats.

I am sure we will get all of the hand-wringing about the violent rhetoric and the “new civility” that is so necessary these days. No? Oh, that is only when Sarah Palin puts cross-hairs on a map. I’m sure if she would have just talked about “going to war” and “taking them out”, it would have been A OK.

Futures on the market down 200 as I type, gold over $1900.00/oz. Europe’s socialism is causing fracture and bank’s toxic balance sheets are being exposed. Our President is about to use the Joint session as a prop for a call to become Europe. Massive infrastructure spending,Union payoffs and tax increases. Opponents are targeted Alinski style as enemies, racists, hostage takers and radicals. MSM failed to vet candidate Obama and the world looking for American leadership sees a deer in the headlights with a default ideology toward Keynes and Marx. Those hoping to see Kennedy have instead stood slack jawed as a smiling handsomer Fidel Castro attempts to steer America into an iceberg. Thanks for everything,ABC,NBC,CBS,NYT,Washington Post, AP and especially Comcast. Get ready for a billion dollar campaign to paint you as racist.greedy obstructionists standing in the way of a hamstung President. No accepting of responsibility will be offered and as Christanne Amonpour did this past Sunday, any truth telling will be met with partisan media push back.

This was par for the course from Mr. Hoffa. I do recall Mr.Obama making statements somewhat recently about the civility necessary to fight our economic strife. Mr. Hoffa seems to be following his advice very nicely. HAs Mr. Obama even had a comment about the statement by Hoffa. It sounds more like the rhetoric from his father when the unions were run by undesireables. You should be ashamed of yourself Mr.Obama to associate and align yourself with the likes of Hoffa. With that sort of language you would think he was having a conversation with Joe Biden!!!!!!!!

As a teamster from Illinois i can tell you Mr. Hoffa does not have my support or the support of many of my co-workers as most of us oppose Obama. I am sure he has the support of many teamsters but truly not all.

How did Hoffa even make it off the stage without being handcuffed?

That wasn’t a veiled threat or even overheated rhetoric. That was a threat of physical violence on national TV

Posted by: RedistributionisAnotherwordforSTEAL | September 5, 2011, 4:27 pm 4:27 pm

Hoffa’s words were badly chosen but his basic message is correct. The tea party ideals would decimate workers rights and wages. Poor people would be just plain out of luck if needing assistance. Crime would increase as a result. Firemen, police, teachers and other necessary workers would see their ranks decreased and wages for the remaining lowered, as taxes are cut further.
The kind of country the tea party policies would create would be close to third world economies, with just the very wealthy and everyone else very poor.

Mary Bruce, shame on you for not giving the complete quote which made it clear that Hoffa was saying to vote out those against workers. He was not advocating violence which your story alluded to.
This isn’t the first time you have left out the part of quote that would show the true intent or made up your own interpretation that was clearly not correct on reading the facts. Are you perhaps a tea party or perhaps a Republican who can’t stay impartial as a true journalist should do?
I hope your boss takes note of your lack of journalism skills. ABC news has a better reputation than the way this story was written.

Couldn’t agree more Lydia. I just watched the clip on youtube . . . and it is very clear he’s telling people they have to get out to vote. He had been talking specifically about Congress and the need to vote in November.

“But everybody here’s got to vote. If we go back, and keep the eye on the prize, let’s take these son-of-a-bitches out.” – Hoffa Jr.

Sensationalist, misleading and provocateur journalism. Terrible and irresponsible journalism.

So much for that ‘civil’ tone we were told we MUST adhere to following the Gifford shooting…..it’s a tone the GOP is supposed to adhere to, but the Democrats and Unions and Far Left can ignore and slime away.

Hoffa, seriously, same old same old, Kennedy’s, Gore’s, Clinton’s, Hoffa’s…….

Take them out. That brings to mind a stadium in New Jersey, where someone took a famous guy out, and put him under some cement. But, I digress………

GOP should use this speech in a fundraising ad: if you question a union, they say this, if you say why do federal unions think they are off limits, insert Hoffa speech, Obama owes a lot of payback to a few groups, play the Hoffa speech.

Then, follow it up with Biden’s speech – insert photo of Gov. of So. Car., GOP Pres. Candidate Herman Cain, insert photo of Marco Rubio, Gov. of New Mexico, all those non-white GOP’ers -
and then Biden saying ‘barbarians from the gates’…. a little racist there Joe Joe.

One could say, you’re calling Rubio and Cain and Nikki Haley and Michael Steele barbarians….not like you, oh, I get it, they’re different than you…………..

Mary Bruce did not get the quote correct . . . . she left out the ‘vote’ part. The actual quote is in the context of Hoffa urging people ‘to remember in November’ and vote. The quote is exactly as follows . ..

“But you know what . . . everybody here’s got to vote. If we go back, and keep the eye on the prize, let’s take these son-of-a-bitches out.”

Posted by: Tom | September 5, 2011, 5:17 pm 5:17 pm

Ah, he was speaking in metaphors or something, was he? Like father like son…

“President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let’s take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong,” Hoffa added.

‘Take these s.o.b’s out?’ You mean, perhaps, like your DAD was taken out, Mr. Hoffa? I always thought ‘Teamsers’ sounded like ‘Team of Gangsters’ rolled into one word; perhaps their rhetoric merely reinforces the image, a wee bit. And btw…where’s all this ‘dialing back of the rhetoric’ we’re supposed to be seeing, that Obama called for? Sigh…look what the great, mighty unions have been reduced to…pathetic, weak men like Hoffa (who as usual with union men looks and talks like a knife-figher off the street (puffy eyes and dis-dat-dese-and-dose), spewing vile stew against the largest citizens’ action movement we’ve ever seen. The unions can’t win elections or senate control in Wisconsin, they’re now less than 10% of the work force, they’re fading fast…and couldn’t scare a sobbing toddler in the dark. They’re on their way out, screaming and kicking the whole way. They’re joining Jimmy Hoffa Sr. in oblivion…and they’re doing all the work, themselves. BTW…any left-winger who defends this guy’s remarks is a HYPOCRITE, because you constantly accuse the RIGHT of being inciteful — and now you’re going to sit there on your fat, shiny behind at your little keyboard and defend this stuff? Not that it’s relevant; you cannot and will not stop the Tea Party or coservatism. Your goose is cooked, and there’s nothing you can do about it. But it still makes quite the fool on top of you, in addition to all that.

What phony ‘butthurt’ are you referring to, tsam? There seems to be a legitimate gripe here as far as the ‘right wingers’ are concerned. Barack Obama specifically called for an end to inflammatory words and statements. Barack Obama specifically called for an end to the name calling and hateful speech. Barack Obama specifically called for bipartisanship and a coming together of both sides to reduce the deficit, decrease our debt, and get Americans back to work. Hoffa says the tea party are SOBs. Biden says Republicans are ‘acting like terrorists’. A certain member of the Congressional Black Caucus (Democrat) says that the tea party wants black people hanging from trees. Even Obama himself has used the phrases ‘holding America hostage’ and ‘holding a gun to the heads’ of Americans when describing the Republicans and Tea Party.
I have yet to read anyone’s post on this board claiming Republicans never said anything out of the way or inflammatory. Of course they have. The point is, plainly, the double standard that Obama and his administration have. Are you willing to argue that point? I’m willing to step up and say that Republicans and Tea Party members have said and/or done many things that did not sit well with me, as I’m sure many others would be willing to do. Let’s see how far you are willing to go, tsam.

Good Evening America:
Boy! Am I glad President Obama came to Detroit today! All were fired up and ready to go. Especially Mr. Hoffa, who like me and millions of others, wish we could pull the lever(s) today, for Four (4) more years! ! !
Mr. Obama is a gentle giant, who deserves more time to get us out, of the mess, that the Republicans and the Tea Partyers got us in, in the first place, ( Wall Street and the Confederate, Good ole Boys). I guess they didn’t get enough of that good old fashion, beat down we Unioers gave them the first time. Looks like they’re waiting for us to give them a nasty, TKO! ! !

But if they know like I know, my experience has taught me, not to awaken, sleeping bears, while you’re unprepared, for what you’re going to get. But, it too, late. Now they’ve gone and done it,
they have awaken, that ole Union bear. And I pity the Pool.

Mr Hoffa, please understand that we want all Americans employed and earning a good wage. We are very disappointed with our President and the Unions for allowing such a bad thing to happen to our workers! We want you and the President to do everything in your power to get America back to work, but that requires eliminating Unions except as a purely voluntary group where membership and dues payments are 100% voluntary and no one is required to join any Union in order to work the job of their choice. Further, there needs to be a Federal Right to Work Amendment that makes this part of the US Constitution. This would be very beneficial to the US and the workforce. We are the Tea Party and we are getting stronger every day! The US has no need for any Unions except as a purely voluntary, non-political group to help ALL Americans find jobs! Help Americans get back to work by eliminating government restrictions and Union membership requirements. Thank you.

The Tea Party are nothing more than dupes of a propaganda campaign financed by the ultra-greedy, so Hoffa’s remarks should have been directed at the ultra-greedy who don’t care who loses their home, their job, or even their life, as long as they can add another zero onto the end of their bank balance for bragging rights on the golf course. When Hoffa said, “Let’s take these sons of bitches out”, he should have said “Let’s take these greedy sons of bitches out”, adding “and shoot them.” As a friend is fond of saying, the only cure for greed is amputation at the neck.

As for Obama, the primary reason we are not recovering from this recession is that Obama is civil with the Republicans and caves in to them constantly when he should stand up and tell the truth that Republicans are greedy, self-serving creatures who have made it their mission to destroy our country by destroying the middle and working classes to increase the wealth of their ultra-greedy, ultra-wealthy owners.. Every time Obama caves in to the Republicans, he gives the false impression that Republican policies have some merit, when in reality Republican are simply advancing the disastrous policies dictated by their ultra-greedy owners.

I agree it is a double standard and it is also a big mistake. Obama makes a big mistake when he negotiates with Republicans as if their policies were actually plausible and well-intentioned. Obama should drop the civility and stop making nice with Republicans, Tea-partiers, and Wall Street robber barons who are out to destroy our country. Obama should rhetorically take hammer, tongs, pitchforks, baseball bats, and anything else he can get his hands on, to take them to task and expose them for ultra-greedy

“The Tea Party are nothing more than dupes of a propaganda campaign financed by the ultra-greed”
Thanks for your compassion but your way off base. Tea Party-iers are simply Americans who have read the Constitution and understand the importance of a limited government.
Those of you who do not understand the importance of limited government need to read up on history – particularly the volumes of info available on why the founders structured our government, and our Constitution the way they did. There is a reason for every check, every limit, every balance.
The reason we are the wealthiest and freest nation on earth – the reason we have it as good as we do, is directly because of the limits they imposed on government. You all want to remove those limits. it is you who are the dupes.

Nice selective editing here. Eliminating the real context to make someone’s words sound more extreme – you’d think Tea Party supporters would know it when they see it, but a little confirmation bias goes a long way.Praise for the idea of “Watering the Tree Of Liberty” with human blood however is just fine & dandy, as are “Liberal Hunting License” bumper-stickers, as is marching on city streets calling to “Take Our Country Back” while armed to the teeth. Seems some threats don’t count – a little Magic Thinking, too, goes a long way.

Thanks to a concerted campaign of disinformation & fear-mongering, “Tax-&-Spend” has become an epithet, when in fact it’s the way a functional government works – the alternative, supporting GOP “Borrow-&-Spend” policy, is a recipe for guaranteed fiscal disaster, as America & Europe are now learning the hard way after decades of conservative governance on credit. “Highest corporate taxes in the world” is hot air: most of the largest multinationals pay ZERO & many in fact receive massive refunds every year, on the public’s tab. “Taxed Enough Already” looks naive if not downright idiotic when taxes are at their lowest in decades, & if you can’t connect the dots between that simple fact & high deficits you don’t need a revolution – you need Remedial Math.

While the GOP likes to condemn him..I ask them…what jobs have you created since you were voted in in 2010 campaigning on jobs..not the deficit? People in Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan do not have to wonder because you have eliminated many of their jobs for teachers, firemen and cops….adding to the jobless numbers. Ask those who are working in the Auto Industry and are having record sales figures since 2003. That is thanks to Pres. Obama who stood up to the GOP and saved this industry. ….look to Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, Michigan…they are all experiencing buyer’s remorse and trying to get rid of some of the republicans they recently put in office. I say…that is a lot of dissatisfaction and it won’t go away in 2012…bet on it.

Talmag, I totally agree!! I’ve been making this point over and over again. Poll after poll shows that the tea party and Congressional Republicans are extremely, extremely unpopular. They are viewed negatively by the majority of Americans because, frankly, the vast majority of Americans want their earned benefits like social security and medicare. The vast majority of Americans respect teachers, firefighters, police officers and the other publics works employees in their communities. The vast majority of Americans want balance and practicality when it comes to tackling the debt– a balance between practical, targeted spending cuts, increased efficiency which roots out waste and, yep, increased revenues via closing tax loopholes, getting more Americans back to work and progressive taxation. The vast majority of Americans find cutting worker, consumer and civil rights to be a step too far, a step against the people of this great country. They don’t want to repeal the 20th and 21st centuries, as Rick Perry and the other tea party candidates in the GOP speak of. A majority of Americans are not even conservative, let along tea party wackadoodle conservative.

There’s an interesting article at Truthout called, “Goodbye to All That: Reflections of a GOP Operative Who Left the Cult.” Lofgren, the writer, points out the three tenets of the modern day GOP including its tea party. Not one tenet is related to jobs. They are: 1.The GOP cares solely and exclusively about its rich contributors. The party has built a whole catechism on the protection and further enrichment of America’s plutocracy. 2. They worship at the altar of Mars– war, baby, war. 3. Give me that old time religion. Pandering to fundamentalism is a full-time vocation in the GOP.

The latter really explains alot: after all, isn’t it the apocalyptic frame of reference of fundamentalists that psychologically conditions the religious right– however they’re branding themselves this year– to steer this country into war and economic collapse?

Lofgren notes, “Having gutted private-sector pensions and health benefits as a result of their embrace of outsourcing, union busting and “shareholder value,” the GOP now thinks it is only fair that public-sector workers give up their pensions and benefits, too. Hence the intensification of the GOP’s decades-long campaign of scorn against government workers. …
If you think Paul Ryan and his Ayn Rand-worshipping colleagues aren’t after your Social Security and Medicare, I am here to disabuse you of your naiveté.

Anybody can watch the video of this on youtube – and see that you got it wrong. “Obama Rally James Hoffa”. You leave out all the references to voting directly before the ‘take them out’ almost like you’ve contrived it to sound violent. Mary get a grip on your journalism, review the tape and revise this – you’re spreading false implications.

Posted by: Tom | September 5, 2011, 5:36 pm 5:36 pm

Exactly right. But Tom, Fox News and the right wing blogiverse is ruffled by this, and you know Tapper’s blog has to jump in and provide its own catnip for the birthers, Birchers and such. Puh-lease! They’re dying to make peculiar analogies to Gabby Gifford’s shooting without once mentioning the odd choice of the Pima County Republican Party to raffle off a Glock 23 handgun to raise money for get-out-the-vote efforts in the very same district where a Glock was used last winter to kill six people and wound Gabby Giffords, just a few short months after Jesse Kelly, Giffords’ 2010 tea party GOP Congressional opponent held agun event that was billed as follows on the Pima County Republican website:

“Get on Target for Victory in November.Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office .Shoot a fully automatic M15 with Jesse Kelly.”

Obama was classless.
We know that Hoffa is a thug… How is his dad doing??
It seems that Obama doesnt represent me anymore..
Its really I VOTED FOR HIM..
NOT AGAIN!

@Bobolinski, recently a man threatned the president and a local court ruled it as free speech, same goes here than and at least Hoffa was not danceing aroumnd with an AK47 when the presidentwas speaking like tea baggers do (they should be sent to gitmo and tried for treason)

Posted by: nate | September 6, 2011, 6:45 am 6:45 am

Nice whitewash Ms Bruce. Mr Hoffa told the crowd ‘to take them out’. Is this supposed to be that new civility we were lectured about? This incitement of violence is totally unacceptable and Mr Hoffa should have no part in the Obama administration and no part in public life. He is a thug who has demeaned what should have been a celebration of workers. Totally inappropriate and shame on Obama for not calling him out on it.

This is responsible journalism? Such artful use of ellipsi…and the SPIN… This is why more and more people are stepping away from mainstream news… You seem to think the people are complete morons. So very sick and tired of the mainstream media. By the way, from what I’ve read, the tea party folks are for smaller government…seems to me that the unions in the private sector needn’t worry.

Posted by: lrap | September 6, 2011, 7:58 am 7:58 am

Isn’t it odd how the Tea Party talks tough and uses war and shooting references, talking about 2nd. amendment solutions until Hoffa or someone else challenges them with their own rhetoric. Then they’re shocked and outraged that someone would behave in such a thug like manner. Like the playground bully, one small push back and they reveal themselves to be playground sissies. In a pathetic way, it’s really hilarious.

Posted by: steve | September 6, 2011, 8:12 am 8:12 am

Like all good Nazi’s Jimmy Hoffa ended his speach with “Heil Hitler” fist pumps.

Posted by: Nunia Biznes | September 6, 2011, 8:14 am 8:14 am

Poor Steve…you are delusional.

What is hilarious is the level of hypocrisy libtards show on a daily basis.

Posted by: Agent X | September 6, 2011, 8:29 am 8:29 am

To all the dunces who claim Hoffa was talking about replacing members of congress through the peaceful act of voting…you are delusional.

This was nothing more than a thinly veiled dog whistle to the drooling members of the unions. A call to arms to commit more violence and spread more vitriol against anyone deemed a threat to dear leader. See Wisconsin. Thugs do…what thugs do.

Hoffa should be taken to meet his daddy. Oh wait, was that violent rhetoric. My bad.

Posted by: Agent X | September 6, 2011, 8:34 am 8:34 am

^^^^^^^ 5′s to Hoffa.
This would only be a good start to take back some of American from the ANTI-America scumbag low life, low IQ imbeciles of the mad hatters of the tea party.

Let’s do it!!

Posted by: American Veteran | September 6, 2011, 8:57 am 8:57 am

Hoffa and the President talk like the only people that work are union members. They are just the only ones that we the taxpayers pay for….sick of his rhetoric and lies.

Posted by: Freedom | September 6, 2011, 10:04 am 10:04 am

What a waste of electrons these feedback threads have become. Why even bother talking? Most people commenting here are spoon fed their “philosophy” and do not question what they are told — they just endless spout it here on the the net — again, and again and again…. Why I even looked at this thread, I have no idea – guess it is like slowing down for an accident on the freeway. Y’all can’t be right, so someone, somewhere is lying to you — I say they all are — both sides. I don’t believe any of them.

Posted by: jim g | September 6, 2011, 12:26 pm 12:26 pm

Stop being children. We all know Mr. Hoffa isn’t talking about a real gun. He was in the style of FDR in a speech made in 1936 when he said he was going to war with the people(the republican party) who allowed us into fall into the great depression. As far as I know, unions, don’t have any particular stance on guns because they’re about economics. Don’t let your fellings interrupt your thinking.

President Obama’s Tucson Speech after the Gabby Giffords & others shooting:
….
“But at a time when our discourse has become so sharply polarized – at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do – it’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.”
….
Really, President Obama? Then explain this set of comments from Union Thug Jimmy Hoffa (the live one) with you smiling at his side.

Posted by: Peter B | September 6, 2011, 12:39 pm 12:39 pm

Either obama refutes it, or he agrees with it. If he really wanted civility, he would tell union and his own VP the same

Posted by: DJ | September 6, 2011, 12:42 pm 12:42 pm

It’s appropriate that Union THug Jimmy Hoffa and Democrat Thug Barack Obama made their pro-union comments in Detroit.. The city that is crumbling and decaying around the Unions and Liberals who have caused that destruction with their unholy alliance.

Being on the side of making successful business’ pay their employees a wage on par with their worth is not harmful. We cannot live on a 1970s wage or budget because food costs have risen and gas isn’t $.75 a gallon anymore. Grow up. Don’t post cheap general criticism’s and then try to live in anonymity by leaving a name like Agent X, Freedom, or “nunia biznes” which is a play on none of your business. I’m guessing someone thought was clever. Know what the words in your sentences amount to.

Posted by: Joshua | September 6, 2011, 12:50 pm 12:50 pm

To the comment about President Obama’s speech in Tucson after Congresswomans Giffords’ tragedy,if you are going to hold other people responsible to the President’s words why not try holding Rush Limbaugh to the same thing? A few days ago he said General Powell would vote for Obama because “melonin is thicker than water”. Is this the kind of speech that brings all Americans together in your opinion? Don’t let your feelings interrupt your thinking.

Posted by: Joshua | September 6, 2011, 12:56 pm 12:56 pm

Joshua.. If all unions did was “… making successful business’ pay their employees a wage on par with their worth..” no one would have any problems with unions. And no one has a problem with the rank-and-file members getting better pay and benefits.
Just don’t be that naive to think that union thug bosses are just looking out for their members.. they are looking out for their own power, and using union dues as a political slush fund to support policies and candidates that do NOT necessarily reflect the views and desires of the membership. They use intimidation and threats to get their way, and don’t care who they beat up or worse if “necessary”. I know – I had a business that a union was trying to “organize” by beating up employees in the parking lot, smashing car windows, and shooting holes in our business’ windows.

Posted by: Peter B | September 6, 2011, 1:06 pm 1:06 pm

I never did think or say that they didn’t use their money politically. Karl Rove’s group Crossroads GPS, the Koch Brothers Cato Institute and Americans for Prosperity, The Family Research Counsil, Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform, etc. are all unions that collect money from people to spend it aggresively in politics. Now I’m not saying unions are perfect or that mistakes weren’t made by individuals in unions in the past. All I’m saying is that to use words like “thug” and “bosses” can be applied to the groups I’ve named. So be fair in your criticism. And remember Ronald Reagan was the “Thug Boss” of the Screen Actors Guild union.

Posted by: Joshua | September 6, 2011, 1:19 pm 1:19 pm

This is what happens when the govt backs skilless thugs aka unions. They form an “ARMY” against the citizens who pay their wages.

Hey ILIKEPIE read my post at 12:50. i think you’ll find it interesting.

Posted by: Joshua | September 6, 2011, 1:54 pm 1:54 pm

Rush Limbaugh is an Entertainer, not a union boss.

He’s also right – the libs JUST HATE the fact that he points out the blatant racism on the left. Why isnt Obama having heads on a pike due to Fast and Furious? Why is the hanging Tree guy not being condemned and ousted?

LAF, you guys’ll never get it, which is why we don’t care to explain ourselves anymore. We’ll just never give libs another chance to be in control until people become soft and dumb again- mark my words.

Posted by: Ilikepie | September 6, 2011, 1:59 pm 1:59 pm

Okay…..hang on a minute. So Rush Limbaugh says General Powell will betray his party and vote for Obama because (and I quote), “melonin is thicker than water” and that makes the left racist? Since when does Limbaugh represent the left? Maybe its your left….no no…your other left. I think you have left and right mixed up. and what hanging tree guy? Is that a reference to the President of the United States Barrack Husein Obama? Or is it the left being racist again? Your words have been marked.

Posted by: Joshua | September 6, 2011, 2:09 pm 2:09 pm

And you’re right. I don’t get it, however, I don’t think it’s because you don’t care to explain yourself because if that was true you would’ve never posted anything at all. I think it may be that you CAN’T explain yourself. All the criticisms I’ve heard from people about the President are usually prejoratives and have nothing to do with policy. And if they do its Obamacare and nothing really in specific. Over and over I hear completely generalized anger with an explaination that would be lucky to last one full sentence. Oh and there is nothing about Rush Limbaugh that is entertaining.

Posted by: Joshua | September 6, 2011, 2:15 pm 2:15 pm

I’m glad to see that someone corrected this story to include the part where Hoffa clearly stated voting was the way to throw the bums out.
ABC news has the reputation of covering the news professionally. I hope they catch and prevent Mary Bruces’ tendency to sensationalize ( by leaving out important quotes or facts) otherwise ABC will downgrade its reputation for honesty and professionalism.

Posted by: Lydia | September 6, 2011, 2:54 pm 2:54 pm

I find it completely ironic that Jimmy Hoffa Jr., who’s father Jimmy Hoffa, also a Teamsters president, was charged and convicted, by then Attorney General Robert Kennedy, is a conduit for the Democratic party. Just like all the blacks who support the Democrat party, while a known KKK member served in the senate for 40 years, Sen. Robert Byrd, WV (D).
Hypocrites one and all.

The war is coming…are you prepared?

Posted by: Moe1138 | September 6, 2011, 6:55 pm 6:55 pm

Let’s compare shall we? After the Giffords shooting, the leftwing media IMMEDIATELY started accusing and attacking Sarah Paling (ooohhh she’s so vicious and mean) and conservative pundits like Limbaugh etc..OK. Now let’s compare and contrast.
Only ABC even mentioned this violent, crass, call for violence from a Hoffa (uh, let’s see what are Hoffa’s known for?, Oh that’s right, Cement shoes, Tommy Guns, and Chicagoland Gang style politics). Nowhere, except ABC can be found even the comments by Hoffa, Nowhere!

Posted by: thrushjz | September 6, 2011, 8:28 pm 8:28 pm

Typical liberal hypocrisy. When the left rallies against wars, policies, or injustice, it is an example of civil discourse in action. People expressing their first amendment rights. When the Tea Party rallies for fiscal responsibility and economic recovery they are labeled terrorist, thugs, raciest, homophobes who want to destroy America.

Hoffa knows the gravy train is coming to an end, he can’t stand on facts so he demonizes the Tea Party to take focus off of reality. Unions have been hololding manufacturing companies hostage and forced higher than market wages and pension plans that were unsustainable long term. Government agencies and departments from Fed, State and Local jumped on that Union band wagon and negotiated salaries and pensions way out of line with the private economy. Tax payers can no longer afford to pay the demands of the union thugs. So, like all mafia thugs they are resorting to violence, and Obama is applauding their efforts.

Posted by: Katie | September 7, 2011, 1:22 am 1:22 am

Sadly, Hoffa’s rhetoric is yet another example of partisan, posturing with inflammatory intentions. In short, liberal politics as usual while demonizing those with dissenting views.

Hoffas (aka Herman Goering) is another example of how cruel, desperate out of touch with reality the liberals are. Another example of the liberal double standard.
